Excellent service. Ask about the half portions of the dinner salads. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks. Seems to be a popular spot in Soda Springs.

Food wasn't that good, worst chicken Alfredo I've ever had in a restaurant. But the waitress was even worse than the food. She disappears to talk to friends and will clean tables instead of bringing you your bill. Plan on at least 3 hours, most of it spent waiting for the waitress. And we experienced this two nights in a row. The only redeeming quality of this place was the bartender. She was friendly and a delight to talk to.

To lead: they did try to make it up to us which was nice but since we don't live in Soda and we wasted hours of our Saturday there, we're still quite disappointed.
We tried to eat here on the 5th of July, a Saturday. We know Soda is overrun on this weekend and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. By the foodless tables around us we could tell it would be a bit of a wait. The only reason we were able to get a booth was because a couple hadn't even gotten their drinks yet and they left exasperated. To make matters worse, we have a newborn and a 2 year old. We waited over 2 hours. That's a diaper change, a full bottle feeding, and a walk outside with daddy to calm the toddler down. Finally I asked another waitress if she could check on our food after I noticed another party that arrived after us was getting their food and GOD KNOWS how long we would have waited if I hadn't. Only to be told the waitress that took our order NEVER SUBMITTED IT. After waiting for that long with hungry bellies and upset babies, we left and went to Arctic Circle. I know everyone makes mistakes, I used to be a server. But the whole thing could have been avoided if the waitress had checked on us or even refilled our drinks once. We never saw her again after giving her our order. The whole ordeal was extremely disappointing and frustrating. We barely get to eat out because we have two small children but we thought we would since we were on vacation and it just went so terribly 😔

ETA after business response: I'm very sorry to hear that you had a loss. But you know, I wasn't rude. I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't deserve to be treated the way I was. If your staff needed a break to process the loss, you should have given it to them and shut down for a night. And how DARE you assume we allowed our kids to act dangerously? We stopped them, and redirected them to play in a spot that was away from anyone else or any footpath. Also, **judging from previous reviews**-- you're great with locals, but spotty at best with anyone who isn't.
I guess we were there on a bad night. It got busy while we were there, and the kitchen was short staffed. We also had a large group of 11. We had 3 8yos, a 12yo, 15yo, and adults. A side of fries came out first. Then a bit later the rest of the food trickled out. Except the food for the 12yo and 1 adult. After over 60 minutes, they still did not have theirs. We had to ask repeatedly for things like the lettuce and tomato for a burger, for sodas, and of course the food for those 2 people. We never got checks, we had to hunt down someone to help us at the bar. When I asked for an update on the food, I got treated like I was being rude and unreasonable. I was told the restaurant was busy. I was taken aback by the rudeness, and said it been over an hour, at which point I was informed, with another large side of snot, that we were 11 people. The adult finally got her food, but the 12yo left never having gotten hers. Fortunately, my part of the group had more than enough of the (mediocre) pizza, so she was able to eat something. Overall, I'm sure the waitress will be happy to hear we'll never be back nor recommend the place. As far as I'm concerned, the locals can keep it.
Fun little place, right out the back door is the geyser. Great food and staff!
Wasn't impressed with the pizza at all it was way to thick and it just didn't taste right.
The locals recommended Porter’s Pub and we are glad they did! Sat out back with a view of the geyser and beautiful (spectacular) mountain backdrop. Strip steaks were fantastic and cooked just right, and our beers were excellent too!
If you live in Soda Springs or are traveling through be sure to stop by and ask for Missy - she’s a great server! She made our experience at Porter’s Pub memorable!
PS - very dog friendly!!!
Porters is my absolute favorite bar/restraunt. From the amazing bartenders like Missy to the atmosphere it is a great dinner and beer stop.
