Of the 3 pubs on Maine street until recently I regarded Linger Longer as the best. I went into Linger Longer and sat at the bar and ordered a beer. Got into a conversation with a fellow patron as often happens. Ordered a second beer and a refill for the individual I was conversing with along with a nice tip for the female bartender who was serving us (my tips are generous to the point of them asking me if I want change to which I always reply in the negative). Anyway, I was enjoying the conversation and the atmosphere so I ordered a third beer, this time from a large, overweight, male bartender. I jokingly told him to cut me off after this beer (I never have more than 3 beers in one setting even if they are just light beers). I’ve used this phrase before with other bartenders at this establishment with no negative repercussions. This bartender however got all “legal” and informed me in a loud voice that because I had phrased my order in such a manner he “was obligated” to cut me off after this order and then repeated to the other bartender a few feet away in a loud voice the same. I am sure that all the patrons at the bar heard everything which pretty much put a damper on my previously good mood (not to mention the embarrassment).
Someone in this establishment should inform this character that he isn’t working at the Department of Motor Vehicles or the U.S. Post Office. I don’t expect to be treated like royalty because I’m not but I also don’t expect to be treated like dirt. I guess it’s time to find another place for that Saturday night beer.

We waited 30 minutes and no one came to get our order. My son went to the bar to give the bartender Erin our order but she wouldn't take it and said she'd be over in a minute. Meanwhile she has time to do shots with her customers. I went and spoke to her after another 20 minutes about our taking our order and she was very rude and said when she gets time she'll take our order. We finally left. We definitely will not go back.

We came in as a big group of 11 for a late lunch and we got a table very easily. Food was decent (regular pub food) and price was good. They have a pool table and other games you can okay while waiting. The dip and the wings were really good, the skinny cat salad was only so so.
Service was fast especially considering we only had 1 waitress for that weird shift.

Food was decent bar food, but it took longer than I'd expect for our food to come. There was only 1 other table and it took 40 min to get our food. But there was no complaints about the food. Staff was really friendly though.

Our group of 13 (adults and kids) visited Linger Longer for pizza and drinks after a long day on the lake. We had a fabulous time. The pizza and salads were delicious, the drinks were quick, kids enjoyed all the fun arcade games, and the service was terrific. We read some of the negative reviews but decided we’d give it a try. We’re glad we did. A great evening for the whole family. We’ll definitely be back!!

Great watering hole and chow hall in Spirit Lake. I think I saw Tesemini there. You should go to see if she’s there.
