We stopped by from an early lunch, normally I'll order the French Dip, If it's not done right I won't be interested in going back, My wife will check out the Breakfast and pancakes. These are two things that if a restaurant can't do right, I don't expect anything else will be done right. What a wonderful job and the lunch tab with coffee came in at $40 for the two of us. I highly recommend passing up the franchise places and stopping by the Hawtplate for great food and service.

What a great place for a home cooked breakfast or lunch! Located at the entrance of Troy, this quaint nook is going to be one of my favorite eateries in the area! Excellent menu options, super friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere make for 5 stars from me! The waitress recommended the turkey omelette (complete with 3 eggs, turkey, bacon, onions, Swiss, and avocado), and I ordered a side of Hollandaise also. It came with my choice of potatoes and toast or pancakes. My husband ordered bacon, eggs, toast, and potatoes with onions and green peppers bc he is way more basic than me. Made to order, the meal was fresh and hot and so tasty! Reasonable prices too!

If you have a hankering for an Idaho diner style breakfast or lunch, this is THAT diner. I've never had a bad meal, the staff are certifiably Idaho small town friendly, hearty breakfast is served all day, the menu is loaded with options, and there are senior choices, too. If you're with 30 miles of Troy, reroute your GPS and eat here.

I go in every Saturday for over a year. They have amazing food. Thank you Bo, Cindy and amazing staff. you are doing it right. And u keep the same staff so I know the truth, you're good to them and the customers. Thank you hawk plate for staying open it's had to start a busy and keep it going, but here you are doing it and doing it well. I wish you guys the best of luck.

My son and I have passed by this place several times on our fishing trips and decided to stop and grab lunch. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. The service is prompt and attentive. The food is the best part! Breakfast all day and unlimited pancakes!!!

Delish! At our table we had a club sandwich, a chicken wrap and the eggs Benedict. The coffee was good and the iced tea strong. It's a great little cafe!
Vegetarian options: There were several meatless options to choose. I almost had the Vegan Benedict but settled for the classic version.

Finally made it out here. Had the Eggs Bennedict which was great. Prices were very reasonable. Service was great. Totally worth the quick drive from Moscow. 10/10 will do again.
