Tara's Place is an updated hometown diner that is clean and feels like a hometown cafe. The food is excellent and priced very well. Specific excellent dishes include the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast, seasoned to perfection, the Patty Melt on grilled sourdough, and the flavorful wagyu burger. Tater tots can be made extra crispy and not oily. The food tastes fine and is reminiscent of restaurants from over 40 years ago, with excellent pies also noted. Servers are friendly, making guests feel welcome. It is worth a short drive for such excellent food.
