El Tap is a wonderful restaurant, with great service. Never had anything bad here, and I’ve eaten here a lot. The carne asada is very good, and in case you feel your salsa lacks, there are 3 kinds. Mild (which is VERY mild), hot, and verde. The prices are incredible, given the times, and they always make you feel like family.

The food was just okay. The salsa tasted closer to spaghetti sauce. We got a dish that was essentially nachos, but they were lacking. I got the verde enchiladas, which were good but nothing to write home about. My husband ate the fajitas locos, which were solid but not great. Overall it was okay but each meal lacked flavor.

Overall, the food was not bad, but it did not taste as authentic as I expected. The Margarita that I ordered was much sweeter than I expected and resembled lemonade. I really did not detect any or very little tequila. Overall, it could have been a much better experience.On a good note, the server was very atentative.

Amazing food, fast and extremely friendly staff and the best Micholata I have had since I lived in Denver! Truly a hidden gem! We will definitely be returning!

Small local place with great food and friendly atmosphere. The strawberry lemonade was VERY sweet so I would probably ask for half the fruit addition or order a different drink if you don’t like overly sweet.
