I am visiting from out of state. Staying in Abingdon. Needed some coffee. Quite accidentally found this place. Good variety. Good place to sit and drink a coffee. And good pastry options and coffee. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There was even a guitar busker out on the picnic tables outside. I live in Chicago and this is still my favorite coffee shop. Not only is the coffee itself really delicious, they managed to take all the pretentiousness out of a coffee house and make it a genuinely comfortable environment. Every time I'm back in Abingdon I HAVE to make a stop!
The coffee is always fresh and piping hot. There is a lot of drink choices besides coffee. Plus, if you are not sure about a drink, you can have a sample to help decide. The breakfast sandwiches are made to order and are not setting around in a bin. The extra time it takes to cook the sandwiches is worth the wait for fresh food. They have a drive through and an inside lounge area. I'll be glad when I can go inside and lounge in the lounge area. :D
