Great food. Jasmine was our waitress, she's amazing. Hope she's our waitress every time we go.

Fantastic coffee and the fluffiest pancakes I’ve ever had!

Sat there for 15 minutes, not even a glass of water. Right outside the kitchen too. Multiple servers and bussers walking by, not a word to me. I’ve been here tons of times, generally they are consistent. I have had issues in the past of rotten lettuce served on a hot plate but usually it’s pretty good. This morning was the last straw. After working in a restaurant for a decade I can’t stand being left unattended for so long.

I had a great breakfast here today. I was rushed and it seemed real busy. The hostess Jenny (later I was told she was the manager) was very pleasant and excellent at her job. I thought it was going to take forever to get a coffee but she proved me wrong. Everything was perfect!

I tried the Lake St., Café Today for the first time. Three of us met at 10 AM (Saturday) and were seated right away. The food was delicious. The service was very nice. We are really happy to have found our new breakfast place!

The Lost Navigators

Lake Street Café in Addison, IL is an absolute gem for anyone who enjoys great food in a welcoming, cozy environment. They specialize in breakfast and lunch, with a menu that blends classic comfort food and creative fusion dishes. The moment you walk in, the interior sets the tone—it’s calming, beautiful, and comforting, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

We ordered the stuffed French toast, beef skillet, and their house burger, and each one was outstanding. The stuffed French toast was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with sweetness, while the beef skillet was hearty and satisfying—just the kind of breakfast you want to fuel your day. The house burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, showing that their lunch options are just as strong as their breakfast.

What really stands out is the menu itself. It’s big, vibrant, and thoughtfully designed, offering a wide variety of choices without feeling overwhelming. You can tell a lot of care went into planning it—there’s truly something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for something light, indulgent, or unique.

On top of the food, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better with their welcoming attitude. Everything about the visit felt smooth and enjoyable, from the way we were greeted to how quickly the food came out.

Overall, Lake Street Café is the kind of place that not only serves delicious food but also creates a calming and pleasant atmosphere you’ll want to come back to again and again. If you’re in Addison and looking for a spot that combines great dishes, friendly service, and a comfortable vibe, this café is definitely worth a visit!

Terrible food. Second time trying this place. Potatoes tasted like freezer burn, pancakes were chewy, egg was cold. Everything tasted like it was old, reheated or sitting out. Not sure how you can mess food up this bad! Worst food I've had in a while. So many better breakfast spots.
