Originally posted on OpenTable in April 2018:Food was fantastic. Service was disappointing. Made reservations a week out via OpenTable, which is linked from their website. Arrived and was told they didn't have our reservation as OpenTable reservations weren't available at the moment, or they weren't accepting them - we were not provided a detailed explanation. However after the host/server walked away, we clearly saw our name and reservation (and my cell phone number which could have been used to contact me to tell me there was a problem...) there in their reservation book. When I called this to the attention of the host/server, he didn't seem to care and snipped at us that our table was ready. In fairness, his priority was getting us a table, which it should have been, but I would have appreciated understanding what the problem was with our reservation, and there is definitely no reason to be hostile.Ultimately they had a way of making us feel unwelcome - from our server walking away while we were asking questions (not deliberately, just not realizing we were talking), seeming unwilling to answer questions, having things cleared before we were done with them, and the issue with the reservation up front.Because of this, while the food was fantastic (really some of the best ceviche I've ever had) - I don't really have any interest in returning.

This is a magnificent representative of the South American cuisine, including peruvian, Argentinean, Brazilian, and Ecuadorian. Today, we had the lomo Saltado acholado, the peruvian seafood fried rice, and the appetizer sampler. The portions are very generous, and one dish is enough for sharing between two people. They also give you br3d and sauce very delicious. The price is hifg but it is good for a special occasion.

I really hate to give such low review! The Peruvian food was average at best, except for the sea food soup that was very good. The pisco sour was terrible. I must state that we are very familiar with Peruvian food. The worst of all, however, we both got seriously poisoned, and it took us full3 days to recover. The Peruvian lasagna was the dish that caused it... my wife ate half of it & I ate the other half at home. It was the dish the waiter strongly recommended! So, I guess they wanted to get rid of something old. The restaurant needs some fixing.

My husband and I came here for a lunch, but we were a bit pressed for time. We notified the server of this and placed our orders right away. The food tasted so amazing and the portion sizes were huge. It is definitely shareable which can help save cost if you are dining with other people. The limeade or lemonade was soo good, very refreshing! Since our first visit, my husband has been back twice in the span of three days. Very impressed!

Went there for valentines day dinner. food was mediocre. service was awful, food took almost an hour to come out even though they had a limited menu that night , and we had to hound the waitresses everytime we needed something, felt very ignored. the worst part is that they included tip on the final bill considering how AWFUL their service was. $200 for dinner for 2 people and they advertised the dinner for $150 per couple. Nice job Rios Addison, NEVER coming back again .

I am going to attempt keep this one short and to the point. First and foremost, I want to start by stating that Tony's performance was an absolute disgraceful performance. Quite frankly, he was unprofessional. Last weekend, my lady and I traveled all the way from Chicago to (attempt) to eat at this establishment. Key word "attempt." When we arrived there was only one other group in the entire restaurant. It was a party of four or five people, therefore, it was not busy at all. We were seated by a waiter named Tony. That was literally the end of our service. My lady and I read through the entire menu, then we had to decided on what we were going to order. We waited, and waited, and we waited for Tony to return to our table. In fact, we had a taste for some ice cream later so we started to Google ice cream parlors in the nearby area, essentially waiting for Tony to return to our table. After waiting for about 20 real-time minutes, I walked over to the bar and asked the lady if she could alert Tony. I literally heard her inform Tony (who was on the other end of the bar that we were ready and he needed to return to the table. I returned to my table, And we waited ... And we waited ... And we waited... Then, we see Tony nonchalantly walk to and from the kitchen area. Still, there was no service. Again, this place was almost empty, with the exception of one other party of four or five people. Literally, that was it. After 30 minutes of real-time waiting for Tony to return to the table to take our order, we slowly started to gather our items and put on our coats. As we started to walk towards the exit, Tony was seen laughing, joking, and having a casual conversation with some gentleman. It wasn't until he saw us about to walk out the door, before he finally attempted to acknowledge us. Tony asked if everything was okay, I told him he clearly seemed preoccupied. Tony clearly didn't care. His performance or lack thereof was absolutely disgraceful. Quite frankly, he refused to serve us. He didn't even have the decency to apologize or to attempt to make it right. My lady and I will never return to this establishment. For folks that are looking for some real Peruvian food, I would highly recommend trying Taste of Peru in Roger Park.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience yesterday at Rio's. The food was delicious, the portions are large and you are satisfied. The flavors are incredible, it is not the first time we have gone to this restaurant, it is definitely one of my favorites, you have to try their dishes, especially the ceviche, it is delicious.

first to all. waitresses didn't know how to treat us. second They charged tips on the final check. and third, they were trying to pick up our plate 15 minutes after it had served us. like they tried to take out us in 30 minutes out of the restaurant. ok, first we were from different nationalities. I think that english was the form. second, we know that tiping is the key for they service offered. and third, we were in a restaurant no in a fast food. my review is never ever going back to the rios restaurant. food ok, service ??, place ?

A large group of coworkers went to the site (we occupied 3 tables) and when ordering and requesting separate accounts they told us that it was not possible and that the most they could do was separate it by tables, which in the end was cumbersome to calculate how much Each person had to pay to transfer the money to the only person who was going to pay since it could not be paid with several cards either. Very slow service. The food was not served simultaneously for the entire group. I would dare say that the last table was served when the rest had already finished eating everything. The same situation arose for them to return the cards at the time of paying, in addition to arbitrarily charging 20% for service and leaving room for an additional tip at the time of signing the receipt. It's not the first time we've been to that place, but maybe it's the last.
