Nice family owned BBQ joint along the Mississippi. Had dinner and drinks at the bar several times while in Collins for work. Always very welcoming and enjoyable experience.

We live in Surprise Arizona and Thomson Illinois. We have been wanting to eat here for a long time. The Prime Rib is by far the best I have ever had. I drooled over the leftovers. Jon and LuAnn

This place is a hidden gem! Stephanie offers exceptional service while her husband Bud creates magic in the kitchen. Although, Steph’s bread pudding is to die for and Bud’s smoked prime rib melts in your mouth.Seriously, one of the best restaurants I have been to. Check it out!

Smoked prime rib was the star of my visit! It truely is as good as it looks. The view of the river right from our table made our visit even better. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Dessert was cheesecake with a holiday beer on tap, both great. You all have got the check this place out!

Loved the deep fried goat cheese appetizer and the smoked prime rib was amazing. The big picture window offers beautiful views of the Mississippi River at sunset. We will definitely be back.
This is a nice little rivertown restaurant. If you come while it is light out, you may be lucky enough to sit by the wall of windows and enjoy the view of the Mississippi River. I would try to get a reservation if this is a priority to you. The parking is curbside and can be a little tight. The prices are a little high for the area, but the time and talent to make smoked meats make the prices understandable. The food was good, but there were several things we tried to order, but they were out of those options, so we may have enjoyed them more than what we settled for. Everything from the asparagus to the meats was pretty heavy in black pepper and spices, so it tended to be spicy, which not everyone at the table appreciated. It might not have seemed so spicy if the food was served with some type of bread like at most other bbq type places. We did enjoy the pickles and onion on the plate as the vinegar cut some of the fattines that meat tends to have.I can't say enough good about the service as they were top notch very kind and attentive.

Made a reservation on 9/12/23 for 9/16/23 for our 35th anniversary. Drove 45 minutes to find out they were closed. Called 9/28 to find out why they were closed, was told we just decided to take a night off unexpectedly. Was told if they had a number for those with a reservation they called to let people know. I didn’t receive a call, honestly don’t remember if the guy took my number but not sure why he wouldn’t. Was extremely disappointed in the “could give a s$&t less” attitude of the person on the phone. Barely got a sorry. Not sure we’ll ever go back.

You can't beat the view of the Mississippi River. It is a little pricey but the food is delicious. Had fried avocados and loved them
