I eat at the Open Door Diner every week. I call my order in before my lunch break and they have it ready right when I walk in. The food is always delicious.

Dagwood sandwich was excellent, and so was the all dressed up chicken sandwich.

We are not from the area however we love to frequent small local businesses in small towns and this one did not disappoint at all! The most recent review made mention of the acoustics however I wasn't there for a concert! I didn't want or expect the service to be super fast. Many small businesses can't survive these days we like the slower pace and don't want someone constantly all over us. I had the banana split french toast and my husband had the stuffed French toast and we always try biscuits and gravy wherever we go! It was AMAZING!!! what a hidden gem I'm only sorry that we likely won't be in the area anytime soon to be back! Keep up the good work.

Average food with slow service. Menu with nice variety. A loud atmosphere that carries thru the restaurant. Acoustics bad. Limited seating. Last Saturday, we went there for breakfast. The 4 of us ( 2 locals, 2 out of towners) sat at the table nearest the entrance door. Across from us along the wall was a table for 2. A pair came in and sat there. There was no privacy...felt like the 2-some were in our conversation and we were in theirs. We could hear everything; so could they. 2 of us had 3 cheese Omelet. Cheese slices were not fully melted within the egg pouch! Felt like eating Kraft Cheese Singles from the package. Would not order that again! The server wasn't attentive. She didn't come back to ask how the food was. Had to flag her down. Had to ask for the bill. Also, food is overpriced.

Great small town diner; well worth the small detour off the highway. Everything is homemade from scratch! You won’t be disappointed!!

Love this place! The town seems super cute, people are very friendly and the sound of a railroad just takes me back. I can't wait to return!

Parking: Looks like there are 4-6 spaces in front and another 10 in the side. Diner is on a corner with a fabulous dog friendly covered outdoor patio area, that can handle 20 or so patrons.

I always get the western omelete here with toast and rhubarb jelly, but I need to try lunch there sometime. My family loves this place and we've enjoyed numerous breakfasts here when I'm in town.
