Visited this winery for the second time in 2 years hoping to have a better experience than the first time. Unfortunately, the second time was worst than the first. We visited on 11/8/24 shortly after opening and there were very few others there. We walked up to do a tasting and the girl at the counter didn’t even greet us. As we were looking at the wine list to decide what to taste, she never said a word. Didn’t explain anything about the wines, ask us what types of wine we prefer, absolutely nothing! Then when she gave us our tastings, she rudely told us to make sure to bring the glasses and holders back or we would be charged for them. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was very good, and when she brought it to the table she said nothing. We really wanted to buy a few bottles of the wines that we tasted, but after the lack of customer service, chose to take our business elsewhere. This was the second time at this winery and both times, the friendly customer service was lacking. This is too bad, because the Alto Pass location is a very beautiful place.

So I’ve been told, this is one of the original wineries in the Shawnee wine trail area. Great tasting wines! Wide variety of other, non-wine beverages, if you’re not the wino-type!! They even have a mascot, Junie the cat!! She’s adorable! Love the atmosphere & flexible spacious seating arrangements! Inside, outside & even an upper deck outside overlooking the vineyard! Grab your sweetheart & snag a picture under the beautiful huge Kissing Tree blessed w the blue bottles of winos-past!!?

I had THE best experience at Alto Vineyards in the Alto Pass last week! It's by far my favorite winery ever (& I used to live in the Bay Area & go to the Napa & Sonoma Valley vineyards!). Friendliest folks; I spoke some with Dalton & learned a lot from him. Sierra at the bar was wonderful as well. The seating is incredible both inside & out. I sat outside & treated my eyes to gazing at their vineyards & beautiful countryside. Because I'm a dry wine drinker, I especially appreciated that they have some dry wines. I enjoyed sipping the Chardonel; it was DELICIOUS! I got a taste of the Chambourcin; although I'm not really partial to reds, I wanted to taste it for my husband, who prefers reds. I even liked it! I bought a bottle of each on the way out the door. The vines have been growing since 1988, & that adds to their vintages. I encourage wine lovers, or just those interested in vineyards, to be sure to check out this great winery!

My employer, StraightUp Solar, has had several events at Alto Vineyards and they are the best time I have had on the clock and off. Karen always treats us like family. The wines are, well, one is just better than the next. The property is beautiful. I love seeing familiar faces as well. I do believe that I am just going to have to become a regular here, between good company, wonderful wines and the effervescent music. Thank you, Karen and staff for hosting a great EcoFest and for always making Alto Vineyards feel like home!

Had a wonderful time on Eclipse Day with family and friends at Alto Vineyards. The owners and staff went out of their way to make this a tremendous experience for everyone. The food and wine was great as always. I will definitely come back even if there isn’t an eclipse.
