They say a picture is with a thousand words, so I couldn't help but think is this all there is? $17.50 combo meat/sausage & cheese board. It was the saddest, most pathetic charcuterie board i’ve ever seen in my life! The wine was pleasant, the young woman at the counter was hustling to accommodate all the patrons. She must have been feeling the stress as she made reference that the owner was out drinking wine at a nearby winery. The music was a nice touch for a late Friday afternoon. Overall our experience had plenty of room for improved.

This place is adorable! We went close to Halloween and they were the only winery that seemed to have decorations. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere.

There were a couple of wines that I would drink again, but most were not to my liking. The outside look of the barn was really cool, but inside decor wasn't as inviting.

We stopped here on the way home from our Carbondale hiking weekend. We did a tasting and bought a bottle to bring home... and now I don't recall which bottle. I had a lavender drink and a peach sangria that were specials not on the main menu. We ate on the back deck (or was it a porch?) and had a good view of a field. I think we ordered a cheese board or a meat and cheese board, but it's been over a month now and I can't be sure. That lack of memory may indicate that we weren't raving about it and we weren't disappointed in it.

Peachbarn winery and cafe is a unique space along the Illinois wine trail. Peachbarn offers tastings and dinner. I would highly recommend stopping for dinner and especially try the soup. The tasting counter is just that, a counter and not really set up as a bar but more like get and pay for your tasting here and take it over there and sit down. The server was just the server and the person who was pouring the tastings was was just the person pouring the tastings. Still a must stop offering a solid selection of wine and food that I would stop for even if there was no wine offerings. There are many wineries to stop at and Peachbarn definitely makes the list of wineries you must visit.

Jenny was so very sweet and friendly and kind. Shanna helped us pick up our bottle of wine. Amelia, we sure are glad you continue to make the meatballs and mashed potatoes. They were the best! Thank you for a great experience.
This was a great stop along our tour of wine country. We literally stopped because their cafe menu looked good. We wanted to get some food in our bellies but nothing huge since we had plans for dinner this evening. However, they had several sangrias on the menu, and actually offered them as a flight. Since we were having trouble deciding, we were sold on that idea. 5 (medicine cup size) shots for $7. Ranking our faves in order; Apple, peach, lavender, berry, melon.Back to the reason we came, the food. Walked in thinking of getting an app or two and ended up deciding to share the Peach Barn Meatballs. Such a great decision. It's their version of Swedish Meatballs and mashed potatoes. They we so good.They also had a band today (seems like they do every Saturday), The Dave Caputo Band. This was a 2-man group, playing guitar and piano, but had the ability to add in the drum parts. Both guys sang well and offered a variety of classic rock songs. Couples were dancing.
