We love their fish. It's just hard to get waited on. We got our own silverware. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. We watched several people sit at the bar and then leave because nobody waited on them. They had a good crowd for dinner. It needs a bar manager or something.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Our 100+ guests expressed their appreciation and gratitude with countless glowing compliments and thank you’s.
Shae’s is an outstanding restaurant and a major asset for the Arcola community. Daisy should also be very proud of the catering service her organization provides. Thank you, Daisy!

Great service and atmosphere with positive attitudes
Our party of 5 arrived at 11:53. We knew they didn’t open until noon, but figured we would try to just get a table and wait as long as we needed to until a server was available. Apparently this was a huge issue for her. She said, very rudely “umm we don’t open for 7 more minutes.”
Alright. Not a problem. We chose to wait right inside the door. Then she approached us and said “I need to mop this whole area.” Okay. Fine. We went back outside. At 12:01 we went back in and she did everything she could to make it clear that we were an inconvenience for her. We left. Absolutely terrible customer service. Such a shame.

We encountered one of the rudest staff. We arrived seven minutes prior to opening (9/14/25 @ 1153). It was over 90°. We asked if we could come in out of the heat, and the employee denied. We went outside until 1200. When we entered again we were ignored and it was apparent she did not welcome our business. We left.
