I was staying the weekend in Springfield with my partner and I stumbled upon this place while looking for interesting breweries. We decided to take the short trek to check it out. It was totally worth it. Bartender was fun. The few patrons were welcoming. There was a musician playing a small acoustic set that was pretty good. Overall great experience. I loved my drink (toasted marshmallow espresso tini) and my partner enjoyed his flight of beers. We wished we were staying closer...
Stopped in on a whim passing through central IL on a Sunday, greeted by friendly bartender and patrons, bartender updated us promptly on current beer offerings. Owner talked to us about the beers and let us sample a newly tapped IPA, and all the beers were great! Loved the Utter butter cream ale & Apple Jax lager. The slaughterhouse theme was executed nicely. ;) Food menu and specials looked awesome. Really cool and unique spot, totally worth the adventure to this small town...
Very interesting selection of beer. Outdoor seating was fantastic. Alex was very friendly and knowledgeable...even let us change out a beer that wasn't for us. Highly recommend.
