Hidden gem downtown Aurora! The design is very clean and romantic. The food is very Italian which was exactly what we were looking for. We started with the goat cheese and marinara, dipping sauce with toasted Italian bread, which was very good. Just needed a little bit more goat cheese. My husband ordered the cream of mushroom soup and it was absolutely delicious. We shared the their version of the chicken Parmesan, it was also very tasty. Their marinara sauce is very sweet, which is how I like it . We did order some cocktails. I had a dirty martini, it wasn't very dirty. But still tasty. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Every time we dine here we have an incredible experience and this time was no different! Each entrée was outstanding! We tried some different appetizers this time (foccacia and baked goat cheese) and they were amazing! Along with the amazing food, the service was also fantastic! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful with food/wine choices. We live about an hour away and usually come here when we go to the Paramount or Stolp Island theatres. However, we will be coming back even if we aren't going to the theatre because the food and service are worth the drive!

Our dining experience was very disappointing. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, and our waitress never checked on us during that time. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't plated well and didn't look appealing at all and unfortunately, didn't taste good either. We had to ask for the bill ourselves, which added to the frustration. We shared our concerns with the manager, but the only resolution offered was a complimentary dessert. Overall, the service, food, and follow-up left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

Food was amazing. Service was perfect. Table was a bit too small for us. The volume was loud because the patrons had to talk over the music being played on the speakers. We will definitely visit again!

Pizza came with hair in it. Seafood Risotto was ordered by two people at the table and both were room temperature and salty. service was very slow. Had to ask for drinks twice Will never go back

A wonderful pre-show restaurant. High quality cocktails, perfectly paired wines, and absolutely delicious food. Superbly attentive staff, especially with some in out party with gluten allergies. 100% will return.

Opentable Diner

Great experience. I have Celiac and need gluten free food. The chef was amazing and provided homemade gluten free fettuccine (made offsite). It was delicious. Great place.

My husband and I were looking forward to a nice date night together, just him and me, and I had wanted to check this place out. I wish I hadn't. It was a total flop. The only redeemable part of the entire evening was that our server was super sweet. Everything else was awful. Last night, there were just three tables in the dining room, two of which only had two people seated; the other had six. The server greeted us at the door, walked us to our table, and then didn't return for 15 minutes to take our drink orders. At that time, I also ordered their baked goat cheese. The drinks alone took another 10 or 12 minutes to arrive. The goat cheese didn't come for yet another 25 minutes, and I kid you not, it tasted like Campbell's Tomato Soup with maybe 1.5 tablespoons (if that) of goat cheese in it. It couldn't have been saltier. We only ate it because we were so hungry and we still mostly just ate the pita (yes, they serve pita with goat cheese at an Italian restaurant). When the goat cheese came out I put in our entree order — noodles & oil w/ parm for me and their Mia Amore pizza for my husband. It arrived 45 minutes later. Both our drinks were gone. I ordered a Diet Coke and he ordered water. Five more minutes go by and a guy fills the water. Our server comes by another 10 minutes later to check on us, and says, “oh, I forgot your Diet Coke!” Of course. There were, after all, two whole other tables in there. She told us when we arrived that the other server had just gone home not feeling well (how convenient for a Friday night), but even still, taking care of 3 tables at a restaurant with 20 should be a breeze. Instead, every single step of the serving process seemed to take eons, and the food was absolutely not worth the wait. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this, and we will not be trying out their sister restaurant, Altria, which is just down the street. Just a miserable experience all around.

A one star review is harsh, but in this case warranted. I hope this is a temporary problem that can be fixed. (Apparently, the chef quit the day before) We sat down for dinner at 6:35pm, received our drinks quickly, and our bruschetta appetizer came out about 10 minutes after ordering. Food did not come out until nearly 7:45. We witnessed two other tables that had three meals served to four guests, and the fourth diner waited at least 15 minutes for the final dish to be served. These tables were dumbfounded by the service and told the restaurant to just keep the food and take it off the bill. When we finally received our meals, the $26 Chicken Marsala was comically small — slightly larger than the head of a fork. This is not a fine dining restaurant, and I laugh when I think about how small the chicken must have been before they pounded it into scallopini. Staff was apologetic and took the Chicken Marsala off the bill, but it took so long for the meal, that we skipped the “surprise” desert I had preordered for my mom’s birthday, and we missed the beginning of the 8pm show at the Paramount Theater two blocks away. This was a bad experience, with the only positive being the LaVia pasta that took forever to be served.
