This place is a block away from where I live. I stop up here sometimes. It is the old time Greek style diner with a extensive menu and endless cups of coffee. The owner is Mexican. He used to be a cook in the kitchen when the Greeks had this restaurant. When the restaurant came up for sale, he purchased it. As he should have. I have noticed they have escalated the Mexican menu selections over what it once was. I had a Mexican breakfast combination on special in the past when I stopped up here. It was deliciously Mexican. I will stop here if I need to get out of my apartment to clear my head. Breakfast all day. Daily specials. My pallet is the type that when I find something I like, I stick with it. For Aurora Pancake house, Greek style chicken all the way with Greek style oven brown potatoes. Greek chicken is not on the menu. They will make it so long as I understand it will take 30 minutes for this entree to cook. Worth the wait. I ask for my side salad to include tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese. Like a small side Greek salad. Again, a special order was no problem. The entree was enough to feed two. I had mine for lunch and dinner. It came with a medley of carrots and broccoli. I was shocked to see the rice. I didn't really need it. It was the first thing I ate. Drenched in lemon juice and spices, mmm mm mmmmm... The whole plate was seasoned in that Greek lemon juice and spices combination. The server I had was great. Pleasant. As expedient as the entree allowed. This is a family place. The clientele is friendly. Always pleasant. A Hot tea can fill 4 cups. More if one asks for hot water in the cup as well as the tea pot. These are kind generous people. When I was off of work on a non related work injury years ago, they kindly let me stop in and, for tips, make balloon creations for customers on the weekends. Plenty of seating. The cashier situation needs improvement. There is too much time waiting to be greeted, seated, pick up carry outs, pay the bill. The servers carry this procedure out. Problems can arise at the register holding up the server from serving the customer. They are open to 2:p.m. during the week. Sunday too. And to 7:p.m. on Friday and Saturday. This place is not fussy. They are accommodating.

I left the waitress a cash tip- I handed it to her specifically. On the receipt I crossed out the tip amount and wrote the total as it was. They edited the receipt and charged me an extra $10 on my card. Other than that the food was great and my kids enjoyed.

Went there on 8/29/25 and the food was absolutely disgusting! It was so greasy. And burnt! I couldn’t even eat my food! I even told the young woman about it and she was extremely rude and rolled her eyes! I later went to the bathroom and only 2 lights worked in the women’s bath and having cleaning supplies on the counter! I was also getting sick in the bathroom and I only got 20% off my check! $45.46 for food I couldn’t even eat!!! And than had rude service! I WILL NOT BE BACK! Oh and the seating is so hard to get comfortable with! You couldn’t even more the table for the booth if you needed. I WILL NEVER EVER BE COMING BACK! You make it look ashamed to Aurora! I personally think I should be refunded

The food was awful, the eggs tasted rotten. It was slimy gooey. The hot chocolate looks like it have oil in it. It took so long to get a refill for coffee. They were on their phone all the time. It was bugs everywhere. On the table and chair and made us lose our appetite.
Hash browns tasted like cigarettes. No air conditioner was very hot in the restaurant. No hostess available. This was the second chance for me. First time I got sick from the fried chicken. I hate leaving a bad review at a struggling restaurant. There is a reason why no one was there but me. I hope that they can salvage this place but it won’t be easy. The less customers the less money to reinvest into the business. Good luck

Been here twice within the past month and both times were subpar. The chilaquiles tasted like something was rotten in them and the steak was cold and tasted like it had been in the fridge for a week. my party tried them as well and said the same and as much as I hate and refuse to complain to kitchens about my food my party said I should. when I told the server and asked if I could change it to just a kids hamburger without fries she went to the kitchen and came back saying everything was made fresh and that they made the chilaquiles with “butter” and that’s why it might taste weird and that she couldn’t offer me anything other than another plate of what I ordered, I wanted nothing to do with their chilaquiles at that point. Their pancakes are pretty good but I probably won’t be returning here and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Not sure what happened to this place, used to be great.
