It has been a while since we have been to Ballydoyle's and I wish we would have come sooner. Their corn beef and cabbage dinner was fantastic!

Antonio was our waiter. A group of 15 of us were there for a wonderful evening of food company and good food and drink. Antonio took the time to take care of each and everyone of us. He was down to earth, professional and just made all of us feel pretty good. 😌😉Thank you for a wongerfol evrig.

This is the fourth time I've been here for New Year's Eve over the past 8 years and it has really gone downhill. The food was bad, they promised a breakfast buffet as usual and then they served us a buffet of nacho stuff and it was disgusting. The employees were rude at the bar and at the front door. The music/band was not at all catered to a general demographic. Security even surrounded me and accused me of stealing wristbands in a box on a ledge in the entry area when I was leaving to go see a better band over at the casino. I had done nothing. They were just on a power trip.

We bought New Year's Eve tickets with a breakfast buffet included When we arrived security roughness up before I could hardly get through the door one girl grabbed my purse and started trying to open it I was confused because I wanted to ask where the New Year's Eve party was cuz there's two entrances to the place and I was trying to explain to her I just want to know if I'm in the right place and she just kept ripping my purse from me and trying to open it so finally I was like here look in my purse so after that I was able to go to the host ask where the entrance one and they directed me to another door just then a friend was coming out from the party and she went to the hostess stand and open a box and the same security girl ran up and grabbed her by the arm and pushed her up on the wall and said you need to get out of there what are you doing and the woman said I'm looking for a mint and she said oh no I think you're trying to steal something I seen you pocketing things it was scary and awful then more people started leaving in crowds and I asked what is going on they said the New Year's music stopped at 10:00 and that they were playing fiesta music the Oompa oompa Oompa music for the rest of the night the manager said there would be a mix of American and Mexican music but it never happened everyone ended up leaving and going across the street to the casino where they had free entry hi infidelity band was playing which was great we ended up not even ever entering ballydoyle's and paid $100 for the two of us to go to a New Year celebration and all we got was roughed up by their security that just never should have happened happened and was awful. We went with a meetup group that set up the party. They said the manager was very difficult to work with that he promised there would be enough seating that he promised the music would be right he took all of our money and did not deliver.

Ballydoyle never disappoints when it comes to both food and entertainment. The menu has something for everyone — Alehouse burgers is always on point. Everything comes out fresh and well seasoned, making it easy to find a favorite.
On top of the food, the live music and entertainment really bring the place to life. There’s always great energy in the room, and the staff does an excellent job keeping service smooth even during busy nights. A solid spot for good food, great drinks, and a fun night out.

We came to Club 28 (a.k.a Ballydoyle) to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the night fell apart at the door. One of our friends was turned away for wearing a hat, even though the posted sign said “no hats” and several men inside were wearing cowboy hats without any issue. When we pointed this out, the staff brushed it off and said they’d “change the sign later.” That kind of inconsistency is unacceptable.
What made it worse is that our friend who was turned away is Black, and the men allowed in with hats were not. That difference didn’t sit right with us. It felt discriminatory, and it cast the whole situation in a much darker light.
If a place wants to enforce a dress code, it should do it consistently and respectfully. We won’t be back, and I hope the management takes a serious look at how moments like this come across to customers.

I had a deeply disappointing and discriminatory experience at Club 28. My friend, who is Black, was denied entry for wearing a baseball cap, even though several non-Black patrons inside were wearing cowboy hats with no issue. When we questioned the inconsistency, staff claimed that baseball caps are linked to “gang activity,” which is an offensive and harmful stereotype often directed at Black people.
The posted sign simply said “no hats” with no clarification. Instead of addressing the biased reasoning or correcting the unequal enforcement, the manager walked away mid-conversation and said she was going to “change the sign right now.”
This wasn’t about dress code — it was selective enforcement and racial profiling. No one should be made to feel singled out or stereotyped because of their race. Club 28 needs to seriously evaluate the way they treat Black customers.

There are two free public parking lots near the light making it an easy walk. However, there is also street parking or a parking garage thats $15 if preferred. The street parking does have a few handicap spots. The service was great. The venue is large. It was not busy at the time of our visit, but I've been here another time where this place was packed. The food came out at regular intervals and was prepared hot. The only downside was I felt the chicken in the boxty could have been seasoned more. Prices were as expected- 2 cocktails. 2 entrees, and 1 app equaling to ~$80.

Great place along the Fox. A back patio on a nice day, a cozy bar when it’s cold and a wonderful entertainment stage with performances.
