I visit this excellent place from time to time because I like the special air that is unique to this place. The staff is awfuly loving and qualified. The service is pretty rapid. Also, the food they serve is magnificent. I ate there many times and I was always joyful. The expense is fair. I highly recommend this restaurant to to all.

My mom and I had a taste for bbq and being from the burbs did not feel like traveling to Chicago, and I told her I recalled seeing this place a few months back let's try it. Went there Friday evening around 6:30, first of all they were out of slabs, and the owner attempted to explain how he cuts up his meat and why my mom could not get a full slab, or a link. I don't know how you are out of meat, and it is prime dinner time that was my first complaint. We waited for about 20 minutes, which on a Friday was not terrible. The owner, who is the man I believe calls everyone sweetheart (annoying),... so finally our order was ready and we listened to him listing off to his workers all of our items as they were bagging. Get home and one of our dinners is missing. I called the establishment and the owner basically called me a liar, and said I could not read or comprehend how the "bagging, and packaging" operates.... He kept talking over me while I tried to explain to him that what he was explaining was irrelevant, that we were simply missing the large ribtip, THAT YOU DIDN'T PUT IT IN THE BAG. He argued with me for 5 minutes it had to be in the bag, I was just not reading how they wrote on the bags. Needless to say I got nowhere with him he continued to holler at me, and become very defensive that he made a mistake and not once during our conversation did he offer to re-do, or allow me to come get my meal we paid for. His solution was bring all the food back, and to him I say "why, there is nothing wrong with those items, we are simply missing 1 dinner we ordered. I will never go back here. I think he is rude and does not take correction well, and he treated me poorly as a customer that had just paid $40 the first time coming. I will make sure others know .

Rib tips are good and the only problem I have about mr grill is they never have mini corn available I been to the place 3 times and everytime they don't have mini corn and one of those times I was there at 11:00 am ( time when the restaurant is open) they need to either stock up on some mini corn or remove the item off the menu.
Ordered rib tips and two links, service was quick food is delicious and a bonus they had me laughing the whole time. 👓

Ordered mini ribbon/link combo pass this place many times since It opened busy lunch time business. Ribs are very tender, meat texture akin to slow baked, mildly smoked flavor. Smoke sausage links had a smoked flavor like the ribs it's texture was also a tender bite unlike a more firmer Chicago hot link would have. The BBQ sauce had mild tangy flavor also compliment fries,slaw cup and bread were decent. Overall I would give this 3 1/2 stars as far as good BBQ goes in the burbs.
