Excellent food with a genuine Sichuan (Or Szechuan) experience. The food has ample portions and the menu is helpfully marked to identify which foods are the spiciest if you are into that sort of thing.

Food was good but not amazing. I got a specialty item which was chicken but the texture and taste was off as if I was eating gizzard or different parts than the standard for chicken.

Eating Chinese is a regular thing in our household. We've tried many in the area. This the best hands down. They cost more, but the food is much better. You pay for what you get. I've had the Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, pork fried rice, and the egg rolls recently. A nice restaurant too, if you want to dine in. if you see many Chinese getting their food, you know it's the real deal. Awesome! Highly recommended

Best general chicken I've ever had in my 30 years on this planet. Try it the food is the proxy of Chinese food

I have been visiting Lao Sze Chuans for many years, from Connecticut to California. While all of them are similar, there's enough variation that it's always a surprise to try a new one. This spacious suburban location offers a bunch of vegan-friendly dishes. The dan dan noodles can be made without meat ($9). It tasted all right, albeit oily. The dry bean curd with spicy sauce ($9) was not what I was expecting. Normally it's dried tofu in a light sauce; here it was chewy and oily tofu and oily. The scallion pancake ($9) tasted fine. You can't go wrong. The Chinese broccoli ($15) was nicely done and fresh. We also enjoyed the peapod leaves ($15) which featured an ample amount of Szechuan peppercorn for that tongue-numbing awesomeness. The chef's special dry chili bean curd ($16) isn't on the menu, but they'll make it on request. It was fine but not as good as at other Lao Sze Chuans I've been to. Stop by Lao Sze Chuan for a respectable and spicy Szechuan meal.

Awesome dinner. Super friendly & fast service. My husband and I split the boiled beef in spicy Szechuan sauce-this is a dish that if you like spicy will bring you back again and again. We ordered scallion pancakes to dip in the broth...delicious. We also ordered xiao long bao and Peking dumplings. Both were great. Our kids had the orange chicken and they absolutely loved it. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Great lunch specials, good service and the food is excellent. Mongolian beef, spring rolls and fried rice are very good.

Came to visit Lao Sze Chuan again since my previous visit was quite good. The Lao Sze Chuan in downtown Chicago features handmade xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), so we decided to ask the staff here whether they also did the same. They confidently answered yes, and so we made the (unwise) decision to order their 8-piece xiaolongbao off the menu. What a disappointment...they are clearly NOT handmade - how else would the dough wrapper folds (which are curiously in the meat filling as well) be so perfectly symmetrical?? They taste and look just like the Wei Chuan frozen ones that you can get at any supermarket and when we asked the staff about it, they still denied and pretended they had no idea what we were talking about. The photos clearly show otherwise. So disappointing that they still tried to fool us (we've been to too many places to know these types of tricks...).

I made an order at the Aurora store for July 4 dinner but ended up very disappointed. First, the amount of dishes are insufficient at all, perhaps only half of similar dishes from Minchin. In their top pick, boiled beef in spicy sauce, I could hardly find beef in the sticky sauce. Does beef all burn out or melt? Second, those dishes are not cooked well. Every dish I ordered contains a lot of starch that makes the whole dish wrapped by sticky gross glue. It successfully screwed up my family dinner for the holiday. I would not go back to it any more.

if I could give 6-7-8 stars I will! Shout out to the lady (I guess she is the owner). We are on a road trip with tight schedule so I called in advance to ask if we could do take out (because our arrive time is almost their close hour) I told the lady we really in need of a warm meal after 10h drive, the lady was so nice told us to drive slowly she would Wait until we arrive. When we arrived she recognized us, even let us dine in (waiter checked with her asking if we could still order she confirmed with him mentioned we have driven for 10h) the waiter is also very friendly asking if we ordered enough because ours will be the final order for them today they will clean up kitchen after fulfill our order. Not to mention the food is superb. This will be the No.1 restaurant for us whenever we come to Chicago.

The duck fried rice is to die for!!!! The cumin lamb was also good and reminds me of a Mexican dish we make at home! The spring rolls where the only thing that was disappointing because they were small and lacked flavor. Other then that the place is very clean and cool looking and will be going back!

Always a great experience. The food here is delicious. Probably the best Chinese food in the area.

I found it to be the best Chinese in this area. The meat and the vegetables taste fresh and delicious. Very good service and quick too.

The Best Chinese Food in Naperville. Hmmm. I am being a little bold with that claim, but none-the-less that is how I feel. I have eaten at this location more than twenty times at the point of writing this review. (I am also a big fan of their restaurants in Chinatown and Evanston.) I have enjoyed EVERY meal I have had at all of their restaurants, and we have eaten several of their dishes, including: beef with pure cumin powder, ? Pagoda or Basil Chicken, Chef's Special Dry Chili Chicken, Shrimp with Snow Peas, Pan Fried Beef Noodles, String Beans (Szechuan and fried garlic), Chinese Broccoli, and Baby Boy Chow, and several other dishes. Not only is the food and service good, the prices are very reasonable. So much so, that I never get the lunch specials.
