One of my favorite places to eat Mexican in Aurora area! Their restaurant is clean, and they have fast, friendly staff! Our food always comes hot and fresh! We love the steak tacos and burritos! Also the hot beef soup!!! I feel great on their food, and I know it’s because it’s fresh and healthy and homemade. 🙌👌
My husband and I order take out from here often! We don’t wait super long - we go, and order and are usually leaving in 10-15 minutes or less. Their coconut treats at the counter are so good! Also their rice drink and the red tea! I forget the names of both 🤣🙈 Highly recommend this restaurant! They have booths and tables .

Food was great, it was so good I forgot to take a picture. The tacos were good, small but worth it. Tortas are good and I had the tampiqueña. The steak was tender and tasted great. The service was excellent, attentive staff. Parking could be a bit better. Besides that I don't have anything bad to say. Clean place, a lot of carry out. Wheelchair accessible. Big manu on wall if needed. Though I thought $14 for a torta was a bit too much.

Went for dinner with some friends and I ordered birria tacos. What I got was definitely not that, just looked like chicken that had been boiled for broth, with bits of bone still mixed in. Very dry and completely tasteless. The plain rice had more flavor.

At least the horchata was good

My first time ordering Chilaquiles verdes with cheese from los cuates with new management. The chilaquiles were freshly made with a delicious side of sliced avocado, rice and beans.

Los Cuates (formerly Chololua’s Kitchen) has a classic, no-frills setup that works for a casual meal out. Inside, there’s one long table that’s perfect for a bigger group, one round table that fits about six, a handful of smaller four-seaters, and around six booths that also seat four each.

The place definitely has a worn-in feel. The bathroom could use some attention, and a few of the booth seats are ripped—just small things that could use a refresh. That said, the atmosphere feels like your typical middle-class Mexican restaurant: homey, casual, and relaxed.

They start you off with chips and salsa, and they actually use some nice, dense wheat tortillas that feel a bit more authentic than your usual fare. It’s a nice touch.

We ordered a sope, a couple of tostadas, and some steak tacos. Presentation across the board was solid, and more importantly, everything tasted great. The flavors were on point, and you can tell it’s good traditional Mexican food—especially when you see local Mexican families dining here too.

Service was friendly and attentive, and there was Mexican music playing in the background that added to the vibe.

Overall, it’s a solid spot with tasty food and welcoming people. If they put a little effort into maintaining the space—especially the bathrooms and seating—it would really elevate the whole experience. Still, it’s worth a visit for the food and the warm service.

Lupita and don Lupe they are the most amazing people ever, the sweetest people, their food is sooooooo gooood I swear If I could eat their food everyday I would!!!. The new owners they are ruining this place, they messed up the iconic green salsa, messed up my order, brought me burnt tacos, their attitude sucks it no longer feels welcoming. I won’t be coming back unless Lupita and Don Lupe come back.
