Went early before going to Street Car Named Desire at Paramount's Copley Theatre. It's all within walking distance. Tavern is a bar with a limited menu. It might read like bar food but has homemade recipes well above that bar food label. Food prices are fair. They have a good draft beer selection and many other canned beer offerings and a wide selection of spirits. There is street parking and limited parking behind the business right on the river. Going early to make showtime it was not too busy. Parking in this area is rarely affected by the theater crowd even though its only a walk across the bridge to Paramount.

We stopped in for a quick bite before a show. We arrived about 30mins later than planned, but it took longer for the server to come to our table to get our order than it was for us to get the food. It was super fast! I ordered a small Ceasar Salad with Chicken and it was so delicious. The chicken was flavorful and tender, and the salad was perfect to satisfy my cravings. 2 people in our group ordered a hamburger both of them said it was "soooo goood". It made my mouth water, that I've had a craving for a week now. I live in Chicago and I'm tempted to go back to Aurora just to satisfy that craving. Lol. We were not there long enough to fully enjoy drinks or the place itself, which is why I didn't give it a 5 stars. But I would definitely recommend. I look forward to going there again.

Had dinner last night and had a very nice experience. We made a reservation on the website and was seated right away. Tara who was very friendly was our server. I highly recommend the clam chowder (sooo yummy) and their burgers. A comfortable, lively atmosphere within walking distance to the casino and the kris kringle market.
We enjoyed a pre theatre dinner here. The food was very tasty and the service was extraordinary. We were told they were short- staffed, but we didn’t notice any problems! We will be back!
