My dear friend got married at Hidden Lake in May 2024, and we were all very disappointed by how horribly maintained the whole place was. Weeds all over in the waterfall they got married in front of, water leaking out and pooling under the bridesmaids and getting our shoes and dresses wet, weeds growing between the cracks of the entire outdoor ceremony place, unkept bushes, algae all over the water, the bridge over the pond was in complete disrepair with a caution sign slapped on. All of the potted plants on the patio areas outside of the reception area were dead. There was a dead bird laying on the sidewalk in the reception area as well. The main house where we got ready had a huge dead spider laying in the middle of the floor where they were taking photos of the wedding dress, just near the large fireplace. Just a hugely disappointing venue with no attention to detail or obvious care whatsoever. I also included photos of decking boards that were replaced the morning of the ceremony, in the reception space literally right next to the ceremony space. As well as a wrapped sandwich that was left behind in the ceremony space by staff. All in all do not recommend.
Such a beautiful winery! Enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere. They have a great selection of wines and food. My favorite wine is Lady Liberty sweet red.
We came here today for lunch because we had to make a pit stop in Trenton. We haven’t been in about a year and we were a little hesitant based on recent reviews. However, as usual the bartender Jody was extremely inviting and super sweet. We decided to split a hand breaded fried chicken sandwich with hand cut fries and a pepperoni flat bread pizza. The sandwich was excellent along with the flatbread. We will absolutely continue to come back to this winery.
Excellent service, wine, and setting
I feel like it has gone down hill.i went there on a Saturday evening and it was like a ghost town. Then the bar tender closed up shop early. Very disappointing. . Then for two bottles of wine it was $54 and some change. Crazy!!
My husband and I booked a cabin at Hidden Lake Winery for our anniversary at the recommendation of family who raved about their experiences there (although it had been a few years since they'd been). After reading some concerning negative reviews, especially with a very rainy weekend forecast, we worried about a lackluster atmosphere and being confined indoors. We even agreed to cut our losses on the cabin and leave early if the experience was truly as bad as some reviews suggested. Thankfully, our stay was the complete opposite--a delightful surprise that exceeded all of our expectations!
The cabin was spotless, cozy, and beautifully maintained, with no bugs inside (despite plenty outside, as you'd expect with any cabin in the woods). The jacuzzi was clean and relaxing, and we enjoyed complimentary breakfasts of bottled water, orange juice, and delicious muffins. We were even charmed by playful and curious baby foxes outside the cabin one morning. One of which came right up and peeked through our door window!
The winery itself was great. The food and wine were phenomenal. Quick and good service as well. There was plenty of covered outdoor seating that let us enjoy the views and atmosphere, despite the rain. Indoors, the upstairs offered board games and stunning views. Bartender Jeremy and owner Steve were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate us with anything we needed, and even offered some great conversation! Steve's 3 dogs often accompany him to the winery and they are so gentle and sweet! You'll also find pictures of them throughout the inside of the winery!
While heavy rain prevented us from hiking around the lake or to the waterfall, we had an amazing weekend. We can only imagine how amazing of an atmosphere it must be on a sunny day with live music! We left feeling grateful for such a wonderful anniversary and eager to return. I truly don't understand some of the negative reviews…. Give this place a shot!
We booked a cabin for a friends wedding near by. The cabin smelled musty and there was mold on the ceiling that looked like someone had tried to clean it off. The place was dirty, with dead bugs and alive bugs. The jacuzzi tub also didn't work. Wish we would have done better research but we didn't. Lesson learned. The guy in the winery, Jeremy I believe, was super nice tho.
We went to Hidden Lake Winery for our anniversary. The menu was basically fast food, very limited. We spent $200 on a cabin that had no hot water. The staff said we could use another cabin to shower but it wasn’t clean. The owners came in played with their dogs for about 5 minutes and left. Needless to say, we will not go back!
This is a super hidden jam we were glad we found. Wonderful area and beautiful facility. And the wines were delicious. We will make this a go to when we head this way every time.
Absolutely gorgeous. Kinda outta the way but that adds to the experience. Wine made in house. Draft and bottled beers available. The food menu has a nice variety. They also have cabins to rent.

Great area to try there 🍷 wines
Spent Valentine's Day here, booked a cabin for one night. Upon arrival we wondered if we had the right place with the overrun sign. The winery was eerily empty as we were the only couple there on Valentines night around 6pm, usually you would expect a crowd. The server was very kind and showed us all the specials and wine. The wine was good and the food was decent. Prices were a bit high, for the quality of food. We enjoyed the surroundings and ambiance despite being vacant. At the cabin we tested the tub after seeing some reviews but it was clean. The cabin was nice but lacked some cosmetic finishes such as working light fixtures. In the middle of the night my husband was woken by rustling in the night, it was a mouse in our trashcan. We tried our best to sleep through the night as we were already there but did have some trouble. After reading some reviews I see there has been recent issues with the winery. I think the winery has great potential if criticisms are taken to heart and real change is put in place. If not for the mouse I would have left three stars.
We stayed for two nights and our TV never worked. I understand issues with satellite, but no call from after hours number that was given to us upon checkin. Steve finally answered after many attempts and didn’t care about our issue, no apology, sympathy or a follow up call. We stated two nights and never heard again from Steve. Customer Service should be top priority. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great happy hour and good wine.
We got to the winery...AMAZING wine! We had cabin 3 and as soon as started to fill the tub gross black particles were floating & way more than enough to gross you out. Then we went to the shower & no hot water at all. We were moved to cabin 8 and the shower was full of bugs which we washed down the drain. In looking at the jaccuzi in either cabin I wouldn't recommend using them, they are old and outdated with nasty looking jets. At 4 am, we awoke to the sound of the trash bag moving and when we turned on the lights there was a mouse in the trash can. It took an hour for my husband to get it out of the cabin. We discovered a hole by the fireplace that it was coming in through and had to plug it with a towel and move the bench up against it so it couldn't come back in. This morning when we took our showers the shower backed up to half full and the water wouldn't drain. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Although quiet Think Twice before paying to stay here.
