“It's been over two weeks since my family and I visited The Polish American Bistro. It would be remiss of me not to leave a wonderful review of this lovely restaurant! Ania and Darek, the owners, are the nicest and most hospitable people ever! Since I have family in Poland, it was fun to talk to them about their homeland. Now about their food . . . it's completely amazing! I ordered galumpki (ground beef and rice wrapped in cabbage). The tomato sauce on top was so delicious, it spun circles around the sauce my grandma used to make (sorry, Grandma!)! My husband ate a breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes. SO tasty! And my daughter opted for a cheeseburger that looked and tasted so great that we even returned the next day to order another cheeseburger to go! Our entrees were accompanied by a side of two types of salad - one made of marinated red cabbage, and the other was their super delectable authentic Polish sour cream, cucumbers and dill. As you can tell, our dinner itself was a 5-star experience. Last but not least, I must discuss their DESSERTS! When you walk into Ania and Darek's restaurant, your eyes will immediately be drawn to their multi-tier display of desserts. Unfortunately, since our stomachs were full after our delicious dinner, we couldn't even think of dessert. However, take-home was still an option! So I asked Ania to escort me to the dessert case and tell me about her sweet treats. It turns out she owns a bakery in another suburb, and all the desserts are made on location at the bakery FROM SCRATCH! So we took a few home (see photo), ate them the next evening, and they did not disappoint! I loved them all, especially the vanilla custard inside the eclair and fruit tart! The chocolately hazelnut dessert was a Kinder Bueno torte. I want to go back and try more of these amazing treats! “I totally enjoy the skill of all the wait staff, their ability to inform, enjoy conversation, and do the run down on what the band is like. Owners Tom & Karen are gregarious, fun, interesting people and provide GREAT talented local musicians. The music scene in Wauconda, Illinois is 10 out of ten...bar hopping encouraged. French Martini with Chambourg, an 11 and one drink, my limit...usually. Dancing...FUN! Especially when Karen agrees. Lol. The owner Ken O'Connor was extremely knowledgeable about wine, particularly Italian wines and also has some creative cocktails on the menu. No, they aren't a big bar like in Cheers, they are a local wine bar with a wide variety of wines for every budget. And the owner, Alex takes the time to connect with each of the patrons and quick to make a recommendation of a wine you will like. It's not fancy but you will feel welcome for sure. They will have live music from time to time and if you join the Wine Club you will get to experience a variety of unique wines that you wont find at the big wine stores. My wife and I love this place.“

“This was my brother and our friends home away from back in early nineties ! Jill and Tom were get. Came back in last weekend, so many memories, great times! Same old bartender was there OMG! Was sad not to see Tom or Jill there. Wasn't thrilled with a drunk young customer that kept going behind the bar and making her own drinks. Just kept thinking Tom and Jill will never have a loud that back in the day. We did have a great time!!! It was like the old days again. SHOCKED no Tom but you can play pool ? that wasn't aloud back in the day. Great times , Great place!

This place is a gaming area and on the weekends it turns into like a small flea market period There is a Mexican restaurant to the left side of the building and a bingo area to the right side of the building you can get all authentic Mexican food and enjoy some time with family and friends for dinner at their nice restaurant that they have it's definitely worth a trip. Due to the many facilities that they have attached to each other I'm not exactly sure about the hours so that you'd have to double check me for leaving.“

One persons hamburger was missing the greens but the waiter was messing w the incorrect meal so didn't come back to fix the burger mess up. It wasn't busy either. Sunday around 2:30. “On a very hot and busy evening, we took the only seats available, outside- the outdoor seating happens to be a beautiful sun room with a nice view. We came in mid dinner rush on a Friday evening and this place was PACKED, so naturally it was a little busy, and the kitchen had a nightmare on their hands to work through. That being said, the food came out a little slow, and without any sort of prompting, or anything, one of the owners (a VERY nice lady) came out and apologized for the wait, then comped our appetizer for coming out after the entrees, and to top it off she threw in a free dessert for the "trouble" which as far as we were concerned wasn't any trouble at all. The product itself was well worth the wait. I personally NEVER finish my entrees at restaurants, and I absolutely destroyed the Caribbean Burger I ordered. SO worth the wait. Portions are great, food quality was awesome, the entire staff was friendly, despite it being so busy and so hot, the whole experience was awesome from walking in, to closing out. 20/10, would absolutely come here again and would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good Midwestern meal with a great atmosphere.“

Had a lot of music, however there selection for Hispanic music is very limited so wouldn't recommend for that, but other than that great spot to have a fun night out with friends.“
