The brisket sandwich was the best I ever had!! The sauce, excellent.. and the fries, I haven't found fries like that in year's!! 5 stars!!
So bbq is what I do, ive smoked food for over 9 years and have served up to 250 men and on more than one occasion, so I know bbq.I will post a picture of there brisket and then what mine(real Texas brisket looks like. Their sign is deceiving it say best bbq this side of Texas….. sorry to burst your bubble but it’s not even close. True bbq doesn’t need sauce to begin with it should always be served on the side as a choice, the meat should be seasoned and good enough that you don’t need sauce.
I ordered the two meat plate, with fries and Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese was the best part of this meal but I was only given 3 bites, it was served in a 3 oz styrofoam Togo container. The fries were just ok.
Now the brisket was garbage, no smoke ring, no bark and was overcooked to point of it being flavorless rubber. I took one bite and will give the rest to my dog. If the owner would like to have someone come help them get their bbq in line I would be more than happy to come teach. The pulled pork I ate, but it was flavorless without the bbq sauce they mixed it in. Not trying to bash you guys but come on, this is quality bbq, especially paying $30 for the meal, you truly can do better. The picture with the styrofoam is there brisket and the one in the container is mine and what brisket should look like. If you want good bbq don’t come here.

This place is amazing and it’s super delicious they always have fresh things and you should be ready to have small talks with the boss it’s really fun, also the decor is really vintage which makes it really cozy we always have the same waitress I forget her name but she is super nice
Parking: When you want to go there you should go between 9:am and 10:00 cause after that it’s super super crowded and there is no parking available and no more tables inside the restaurant

Started with a greek salad
All the lettuce was rotten. A employee came to the table and ask how everthing was i tried to explain that the salad was not good, but walked away.I later understood that his English was not his first language.the brisket sandwich was just ok., i had much better, someone who never experienced really good brisket probably won't understand. My wife and i spent $65.00 including a nice tip. On a scale from 1 to 10 i would rate it a 3.

Place reminds me of the old diner, unique ambiance. Server was nice. Ordered the platter with brisket and pulled chicken. The pulled chicken taste really good. I requested barbecue sauce on the side, the brisket was thinly sliced and very dry. A little disappointed and had no flavor. Our friends ordered the brisket sandwich which is a better option if you want flavor and moistness on the meat. Requested a special order for my daughter with brisket tossed with onions, that came out better but needed some more flavor. Meat is tender but just need more flavor. Overall food is okay.
Parking: There’s construction going on, coming on Main Street will not let you make a turn but coming from the back streets will have access to their lot. Good amount of street parking

Stopped here first time everything looked good on the menu. Ordered pulled chicken and brisket took the food to go. They make their own sauce, it was good but a little bit too much pepper for me. It made the sauce spicy hot.I liked the pulled chicken but too much sauce with the pepper made it hard to eat. The brisket was lean, but the portion was small actually recieved more pulled chicken. The nice thing about the brisket was the meat was plain and not drenched in sauce so, as able to use the bq at my liking. The sides are nonethibg to rave about another disappointment. Cole slaw was a vinegar dressed salad. I believe no mayo. The Mac n Cheese tasted grainy like a powered mix and the baked beans were spicy. I atmosphere was nicely set up and staff was friendly. I left a ten dollar tip something I normally don't do unless eating at the restaurant and feel all around service and food good. Not sure if will go back but next time will stick w fries no two mouth full sides which another disappointment.

Sammie was an amazing server! My kids ate every morsel of food! Great ribs! Very family friendly! We have a party of 10, so I called ahead to see if they could fit our group. The owner was so positive and reassuring on the phone; when we got there, he had made a spot for our family! Great job, thanks for the food and great hospitality!
Dietary restrictions: They have GF pancakes which were fantastic for my daughter!
Kid-friendliness: Kids menus that the kids can color and then they hang them up to display. My kids loved to see theirs hung up!

My husband has been coming here since high school in the 1990’s - always raved about it. We’ve been coming together since we met 11 years ago. The food never disappoints and portions are huge! Our server, Sammie, has been here forever and is WONDERFUL!!! My husband travels to New York often for work and says the Canteen corned beef is even better than the famous Katz’s Deli in NYC!!! It’s amazing! You won’t be disappointed ever with anything you order!!! I can’t give enough stars!!!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
