Great homemade Italian food for dine-in and takeout. Amazing sandwiches, pizza, and other Italian classics like lasagna.
They will even tailor the food to your liking. I am not a fan of ricotta cheese. When my mother-in-law, born and raised in Italy and loves Frantonio's, orders lasagnas from them, they don't add ricotta.
My favorites are the Griogliato steak sandwich and the homemade sausage.
We also buy our Romano and Parmigiana from here. But be careful, those cheeses are addicting!
I gave the atmosphere 4 stars. The dining room is pretty basic but Frank and his family make it a 5 star experience.

Frantonios is a very great place to eat at and to order some food from if you have not tried them yet, Their staff are very hard working people and do their best to make sure your food gets out on time and done with love and care. The staff at this place are wonderful people and make your day better if you’re having a bad one. Frank the owner is such an amazing person to sit and chat with as well, You got any questions about food, he is the man to talk to. 30 years in the business and that guy knows how to whip up a great tasting plate of food with the help of his cooks as well. Or if you just are on a quick run to get a bite to eat, surely get one of their sandwich’s, they are freshly made everyday and made with love and care. So stop in at frantonios and get you some food, i promise you won’t regret it, they are located in the commons area by the post office in barrington!

This family business is amazing. Choosing what to eat is always so difficult because literally EVERYTHING on the menu is so good. If you haven’t tried the magnifico panini pressed, you’re missing out. I also really love the italiano. If it’s a hot day outside and you want something refreshing the buon appetito is the perfect sub. Frantonio’s also offers a large variety of vegetarian subs that are delicious, especially when their homemade fresh mozzarella is added to it. The homemade fresh mozzarella is to die for, and the homemade sausage is by far the best I’ve had. As for the salads, my favorite has got to be the bowtie chicken salad. The homemade tiramisu has the perfect flavor. Everyone here is so friendly, and they are always looking to make your experience great. Definitely give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

The food and service is terrific. Their bruschetta and the different arancinis are sooo good. Everything fresh and homemade. The staff made us feel welcome and took good care of us. I look forward to trying lots more of the deliciousness they serve.

Busy Saturday afternoon. Will order ahead. I had eggplant parm sandwich. It was very good. I also hit the deli section and purchased cheese ravioli and home made Italian sausage.The ravioli were very good. I believe it was the best sausage I ever had. Lol and I have eaten a lot of Italian sausage!
Wheelchair accessibility: It amazes me how difficult it is to get through doorways in a wheelchair. The tables were wheelchair friendly and staff were great helping me out the door and even to my friend's car

We were looking for a new lunch spot in Barrington and we are glad we stopped at Frantonio's! First impression the restaurant is really clean and open. The menu had great options. We went with the Italian Beef with hot peppers/cheese. Hands down the best one I have had in the area. Meat was flavorful, the peppers were the right amount of spice and the cheese was nice and melty/great pull. The bread was nice and toasty and offered another texture. Serving the juice on the side was perfect...and the flavor there takes the whole sandwich to a different level. We also had the Panino Pollo. 10/10 would reccommend, the ingredients were fresh, the sandwich was warm, the sauce or oil was perfect! Both were filling yet light at the same time. Great sandwiched for lunch or a light dinner!!

This place is fantastic. The mozzarella he makes is to die for. The sausage Frank makes is the best I’ve had since leaving NY. HIS Beef is home made and delicious. And the pizza , Bro, forget about it, delicious.I have never been disappointed in anything from here. I can’t wait for them to be in their new location in the Commons in Barrington.Rich Robertaccio
