Loved coming here for my lunch breaks. Sad to see you guys go!

This place is the worst…They’re usually open just 3 days a week…So I stop there on a Wednesday…Which Is a day they’re normally open…and I walk up to the door and now they have a sign that says “due to temporary staffing issues we are closed temporarily”…really? Why even be in business then just close the doors permanently and let another business open up in there that can thrive…Don’t reward and support a business like this…there are plenty of other businesses that would appreciate you as a customer!

Completely fumbled on a function for my workplace. Rude service from the first visit was a red flag but just as rude on pickup for this event and did not complete the basic request we asked for. Pretzels were fantastic but poor customer service and attitude will surely keep us from placing another order here.

My son & I just loved these pretzels.

Interesting combination of pretzels and sandwiches. Would go back but would like a beer with my pretzels!

First time here, had the cheesy pretzel and wedding soup! It's so good!!!

De Lish. Us!...pretzels rock!

Not only were the pretzels amazing and so fresh, but the store did a great job making its customers feel safe during covid-19 pandemic; the person working was wearing a mask correctly, washed their hands, and put on gloves before touching the pretzels. Contactless payment too and you can order ahead. So pleased to see businesses who make great food also acknowledging good hygiene practices and being socially responsible. Way to go Gnarly Knots! 5 stars!

The pretzels were very disappointing and it was. not difficult to see that they sat under the heat lamp for way too long! The Italian beef pretzel were tough and leathery .
We saw this place advertised on TV and decided to take a drive out to Barrington. So disappointed! The pretzels were obviously sitting a long time under the heat lamp and was dried out. Expensive for what you get. The topper was the lady behind the counter was so indifferent and obviously not wanting to be there. She only offered to make a fresh batch of pretzels AFTER we ordered and pay. I want to shop local to keep the small restaurants alive but this place seem to be barely alive.

I don’t know of any other place that makes stuffed pretzels like these. They rotate their menu I think 4 times per year and have different specials. Some of my favorites have been the 3 cheese stuffed and the Italian beef because they are bursting at the seams with stuff. The desert ones are delicious as well such as the chocolate chip cookie dough stuffed into a pretzel.

I stopped in the other day because I was hungry and craving a warm snack and I had been wanting to check this place out for a while. I ordered one pretzel and paid $8 for it. It was lukewarm and I was definitely disappointed in the taste as well. Definitely not worth $8 for one.

I will go back as often as I can!

Gnarly Knots has some of the best tomato soup around. The owners are lovely people too.
