came in the food was average, slightly over priced, and the carne asada made my wife sick. had a weird sour taste to it as if the food was a bit older instead of fresh meat. The food tasted bland with no flavor and was greasy. kitchen looked a bit unsanitary. I don't know what their problem is in general. i also ordered an aguas (waters) and came back to get a refill and switched up the flavor since we wanted to try something else considering we paid for the drink already. I paid for the refill nonetheless and i was given attitude for getting something else (unless you have different pricing for it) IT WASNT STATED. overall food was below average and over priced and will probably get you sick from unsanitary cleaning or cross contamination. Also get off your phone when there is a customer present instead of making them wait. I may be one of the many few who care but the rest do not. I am NEVER coming back.

I’m Latina and I can say this much, the meat tasted funny and off. Not good quality at all. My man has gotten a burrito here and said it was horrible. The service was amazing good people were amazing but they need to fix that carne asada it’s lacks flavor and freshness.
We normally like this place but was disappointed with the tongue taco we had; it seemed the meat had been warmed from a prior time and tasted dry and not fresh.

Paul's is great have been coming here for over a decade. The red sauce is great I have purchased it before and taken home. Simple menu offering a variety of Mexican cuisine and some Mexican/American cuisine. The food has always been great consistent and affordable. I would encourage everyone to check out Paul's and support local business as opposed to going to the chipotle that was just put in downtown Barrington. There are chipotles everywhere and Paul's is better anyways. Therefore, when in Barrington I go to Paul's and will continue to do so. Paul's is a Barrington staple.
