I was looking at the pictures on the wall, seeing one of Benny and his wife and kids. Remembering way back his wife working and being pregnant with one of the boys. So this had to be mid to late 70's. Yea, I'm that old.
We purchased two xl stuffed crust pizzas for take out. When the pizzas arrived, the size and make were spot on for the price. Then we ate. OMG!! Best pizza I've had since Chicago deep dish! Really wish they had a store in Springfield!
Benny’s is the OG imo. I was raised in the area and every time I come back to visit, it’s not complete without a Benny’s pizza. Not a lot of local restaurants survive in this small town, but Benny’s has been consistent and amazing as long as I can remember it.
