The people here are so nice and helpful! Ary the hostess was especially nice to facilitate me moving to a different table so I could see the football game on TV better. And my server, Taylor, was absolutely wonderful!
The one thing that was disappointing was the fact that there were no promotions or deals. I mean literally every meal on the menu was full price, zero exceptions. This is surprising because I have never experienced that at an Applebee's before. I honestly can't afford to be paying the full price for a meal, so I won't be able to come back until they start running promotions again. But no complaints except for the no promotions thing.

Have had better experiences here in the past. Server was nice but had a tense personality. Food was small portions and bland. We go every year to have the Halloween themed drinks. The drinks were great. The restaurant was clean. The seating wasn't super comfortable.

We went to Applebees in Belvidere today for lunch. The first thing we noticed was the poor condition of the parking lot.
When we were Seated, we noticed the music was quite loud. The ceiling speaker in our seating area was hanging out of the ceiling tile. No wonder it was so loud.
Many pictures had been taken off the walls. It had the look of a location either getting ready for a major overhaul, or one that is closing.
We have eaten here many times over many years. The food is always good and the service is great. I was saddened to see the place in such disrepair and even sadder to believe it might close.

Can't order more than one drink anymore,can't order drinks custom anymore and normally make noodles EXTRA soggy this is the last time I will ever come to Applebee's until the final day of permanent closing and I would stear clear of the onion soup, it's the only place that puts swiss in an onion soup. The server was the best part of the night I also learned that chef Mic is the hardest-working chef ribs come precooked and they even somehow managed to mess that up the chips we're like rubber and the ribs had more crack then the chips did, couldn't even stomach the mashed potatoes the only good thing that came out of there was the spinach artichoke dip and we all know that is also microwaved but still so good I ordered the all you can eat and couldn't even stomach more than one plate and I didn't even finish it the only good thing was the drinks and the waitress but you're limited on what they can make for you when it comes to the drinks.
Also the prices went up while the food quality went down. Where does that make sense? Welcome to Illinois I guess

I mean, I know this isn't a steak restaurant, but when I order a 25 dollar steak I should expect it to be cooked the way I asked. My wife and I order the same steak, same way, hers was done great, mine on the other hand could not be finished as it was way to raw. Looked like it was browned flipped browned done. I would understand if both steaks were done that way, but to have one done right and one totally wrong, that is what I cant understand, that's just poor cooking. and why I am rating this place a one.

We had to push our own tables together there was 5 of us all adults which was sat at a 4 person table? WHY?

Bun on burger soaked in cooking oil fell apart. Should have complained but I did not. Fries had an aged oil taste. This place never appears to improve. Back to chilis 5 miles further away.
