Must say they do not disappoint, ordered the prime rib dinner and all i had to do was put the oven on. This is a must try, next time ordering the Turkey or ham dinner meal. The deli employees were so nice and upbeat and actually interacted with me. All this store needs to do is update it make it so we dint need Walmart bc I would shop only here for sure!!.

Where the produce is always wilted. I didn’t even know radishes could get mushy. Meat?! Yea, no. My last visit was for a can opener but there weren’t any

went there Friday for Chicken none went Saturday around 3:30pm should have stayed away. Use to like their chicken but it was old cold over cooked and just not worth the time and effort to wait for it. Waited as someone got a large order and myself and two others were given the stock from the glass display and I'd bet it was there since noon, they had a hard time filling the 16 piece order I was after. threw it away even dogs didn't want to eat it and we always go through a 16 piece not this time So sad to see another store going down and another place we can not get a good meal at in this town. Going to miss the Chicken

I want to do a big thank you to Countryside for staying as stocked as they can during this national crisis and doing grocery pick up orders cheerfully and efficiently. God bless you all there!

Worst cashier today. No hello, no eye contact, just what I owed. She also said to me that I was done. What? Was that her have a nice day? Will never go back and I will tell everyone I know not to go there.

We got broasted Chicken from there yesterday. The chicken was Rancid. Tasted like spoiled milk. Never going back. To bad it has gotten run down. It used to be a staple in Belvidere.

Not my favorite grocery store to shop, but it is convenient at times. I was in there last week to pick up some items and I was not impressed by their produce department. I used to work in another grocery store's produce department, and some of the items I saw did not look fresh and did not pass muster with me.

LAUGH ALL YOU WANT!

Very nice supermarket love shopping for beer there!

I never do reviews. But i cant stay silent on this one. The Belvidere location (that i have been shopping at for 3 years) has gone down hill so quickly the last couple months. It was never the best place, but generally the shelves were full and their deli was good as well as the meat. In the last 3 weeks, I've had to return tamales, got them home and found them to be moldy. Just this weekend i went in and grabbed some chicken wings. Opened the package as soon as I got home, they were completely rancid! I almost threw up when I opened them up. Took them back, talked to the manager and he actually said "let me find you a good pack" um... no Ill take my money back please. Not to mention the deli meats that get bad after 3 days of purchasing them. Do yourselves a favor, shop at Aldi or Meijer. Bye Felica!

The Poplar Grove location is just awful! Very rude cashier today and the prices are so high that I’d rather drive all the way into belvidere to get what I need even if it’s just to get a couple of things! We have tried to give you our business but I will not pay your ridiculous prices anymore.

Not the freshest produce. If we need some, we usually go to Sullivan's in Winnebago. We rarely buy meat there since we get our pork, beef, and eggs from local farms. It's ok if you just need an item or two but prices are not the best. Guess we pay for the convenience.

Have everything I need, some items i like though are a little pricey, like the Marzattis salad dressing, and coffee. Nice hot food bar , and bakery goods.

Worked there for over 10 years. Think I've seen it all. Freezer down and ice cream thawed? Throw it in the big freezer and put it back on the shelf. Expired meat items? Take it to the deli or give it to the bar to cook up. Buying expired frozen meat and mis labeling of meat items intentionally? Yeah they do that. Freeze beef pork and chicken then thaw it and sell it as fresh....check. You want a dead end job with no insurance pension or incentives? Do you like being talked down to and be given back handed compliments on a daily basis? Ask for Mark the store manager. Or maybe you like to be yelled or screamed at on the sales floor in front of customers? Bobs got you covered.. not a disgruntled ex employee here just setting the record straight..I was a union member and had some protection, we ended up getting a union lawyer and the Illinois labor board has gotten involved as well... They try to tell people I was fired for being racist when anyone who knows me knows I am not.. I gave them my 2 week notice because I had found a better job with a company who knows what they are doing just wish I had gotten out much sooner.
