Do you like waiting in short lines for extended periods of time?What about being your own server and being asked to tip?How about sub par and lukewarm food for 2x the price it should be?What about a dwindling selection of beers?Consider a 40 minute wait for an incredibly simple order at the Firebox/Shoreline today!Seriously though, for the amount of time you'll be waiting, you may as well just go into Rockford and get what you're really looking for. Don't waste your time or your money here.

Good food, nice place. Way to expensive for the small portions you receive. They also don't have waitstaff, you have to order at the counter. For what they charge, they could atleast have waitstaff. Would absolutely return if they were not so expensive.

Tasty pizza. Albeit a little pricey. Expect to drop about $15-$20 per hungry person if they each get their own thing. Not somewhere I'd go every day but more of the hanging-with-friends type of joint. Great atmosphere. It's a combination of bar, sushi, pizza, gambling with an appeal. Has that 'old style with a new flair' aura that hipsters are into but still cool nonetheless.

Parking: The best places to park are on a one-way in front so it's a little difficult to find but there's parking lots all around this downtown strip.

Great place. Friendly staff. Great food. It's a casual place for after work get togethers. The upstairs is awesome.

The worst service I’ve ever had. I’m not sure where they hired these people from but they should not be in customer service!! Apparently there isn’t enough help to actually have a server for a table. Will not ever go back. I would recommend carry out. The food wasn’t bad.

I went there on Hometown Christmas night and figured it would be busy. I was there 20 minutes early and had a drink. I didnt like the fact that I was told after my food would be ready, that something got messed up. There were several other people waiting on their orders as well. Poorly ran place. They could have given us a coupon for a free appetizer or something. I got home to eat my pizza, it wasn't even that good. Mod pizza is better.

Always enjoy coming here. They do run 2 restaurant's out of the 1 building. Firebox Pizza and The Shortline. You place your order at the bar. The only disappointment is, the sushi comes out before the pizza. It would be nice if they would coordinate the arrival of the food. One party either waits to eat or you both end up eating alone, even though you are together.

Food quality and service were decent. No real wow factor. My son got the small pepperoni pizza and I got the large buffalo chicken pizza. They were both good and we were able to finish both of them.

Went here for lunch with husband. We got the shrimp tempura roll, fried gyoza, pepperoni pizza, and Buffalo chicken mac. Everything tasted great!

I was very excited to try this place as I have heard good things. Went in for dinner tonight and ordered food & drinks. We were served both our appetizers and our pizza before even getting our drinks. Crab Rangoons were so burnt they were black. Mac & Cheese bites were great. I asked the bar where the drinks were on three different occasions, received attitude and was asked to go sit back down. Our drinks finally came after about 40 minutes and they weren’t even what we ordered! I asked to speak to a manager and the lady who spoke with me was very apologetic and gave me a refund on the drinks. Pizza was good & service sucked, but I did appreciate the sincerity from the manager who had very clearly just started her shift. I Will not be back.

Went to the firebox again tonight with my daughter and my sister and all though they were very busy the staff did an awesome job taking care of everyone’s needs, Jen and her staff make sure you have everything you need and it feels like they all have known you for years. Best pizza in belvidere ❤️

I don't write reviews, but this place will go out of business. Bad service -even seated at the bar, okay food -spring roll and peanut sauce were awful, and low standard bar offerings. You don't use mixes for things like a Moscow Mule when you describe it by the actual ingredients. So disappointed. I really like dining in Belvidere, but won't go back. I'm in HR. I know competent employees are hard to find, so the owners better step in themselves. Been there, done that. Good luck.

The pizza and fried brussel sprouts tasted good and looked good, and it all came out pretty fast. The servers were kind, helpful. The flow of service seemed unpracticed, so we ended up participating in the service more than I expected we would. The prices were high in my opinion for the food (comes out to about $2 for a lightly-topped piece of pizza the size of my hand), but the experience was comfortable.

One of the nicer places available in Boone County for dining. Excellent indoor/outdoor patio area. The best atmosphere of any restaurant in the area, so it is a great place for meetings and business lunches.

This place is a gem. Great food, the pizza is really good. Appetizers are delicious.
