Zae's Classic Chicago Hot Dogs & Polish

On an afterthought on my day I began a quest for a proper Chicago dog, I stumbled upon Zae's and let me tell you, it’s the real deal.

The lunch special is a steal, and the staff? They’re so friendly and helpful. The menu boasts far more than just hot dogs—though let’s be honest, I was here for the main event. Their Chicago dog, dragged through the garden with all the fixings, was a nostalgic ride.

And the fries? Oh, those golden beauties deserve their own fan club. They make fast-food fries look like sad, soggy impostors.

Don't waste your time with a chain, this place is a must-visit for Chicago dogs.

THE VERY BEST hot dog in the area. Not only the dogs but the beefs and Italian sausage sandwiches. They are the only people in all of the Rockford, Belvidere area that knows how to serve up a real Chicago style Italian beef. I can't say enough about these people.

The Polish was great. Best fries ive had in the area. The chicken sandwich was incredible. I recommend you try this place. Great food and great people. I will definitely be returning soon.

Usually a fantastic food truck, but last night I ordered 2 cheesy beefs(juicy), beef wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese even a little and it wasn't juicy at all. I think person fixing the food was a rookie, I've been there many times and this was 1st bad experience, I won't give up on them yet

I went for the Chicago Hot Dogs, and fries.. It was very great tasting, and a great value comparing prices. I'm going to get to try some of the other items soon I hope. I'll have to think of something I want 35 minutes away..

the people who work here are SO NICE!!! ive been here twice and the quality is always supreme!!! and the main guy always comes out to see how the food is AGH so sweet!!! if you’re in the area, absolutely stop here!
