Wanting to support local, my husband and I decided to try 37 Bar and Grill - despite reservations about golfers being a snooty lot. They did not disappoint. This is where the good ol’ boys hang out after a round of golf. I asked a question of the server who didn’t bother stopping writing her tab for one of the boys to look at me directly as she spoke to me. We walked out and went into Elmhurst for libations and football.

This used to be a really fun location whether you play golf or not. The has gone from somewhat average to just not good and the prices are 40% more than what they should be. Its just microwaved or prepared so unprofessionally. Its like 14 year olds are "cooking" in the kitchen. Beer is beer and the bartenders are friendly enough. Alas this is NOT the restaurant it used to be but this is a golf course so I expect as much. Outside there are some great views with a (fake) waterfall and a pond. Its relaxing on a nice day listening to the birds and watching squirrels hop around. but thats outside. Inside its adequate. Again, standard golf course stuff. They do have plenty of outdoor seating. Smoke a cigar and have a few beers.
