October 2025..Food is not as good as it use to be totally different taste. BEWARE, Also the menu prices are not what you pay, raised prices and they should tell you that before you order. Beef fried rice did not have any egg in it and the fried rice was greasy. Not to friendly like they use to be. :-( I will not go back, I use to go here for many years, so sad it has changed that much.

The food is not consistent. Order a beef fried rice extra beef . Still not that much beef for $6.00 and not much green onions egg or bean sprouts didn’t have eggs either ! But still the price is high !!! They used to be amazing! Has gone down hill!!! Any one know a good place in Elmhurst?

**BEWARE NEW OWNERS*** Horrible food at outrageous prices! Long time customer of Hoys and wasn’t aware of the ownership change. You can definitely tell the difference in the quality of the food and the prices are sky high. Hoys was always a little on the higher side but the quality of food justified it for me. Never again will I order from there. Crab Rangoon burnt to a crisp and no crab inside in the whole order. Just an example of what’s in store if you order. Wish I can give no stars!

Been coming here again since they opened up the area to eat inside. Food is Best Chinese in Dupage County and surrounding area of Cook County. Lunch Specials are great deal. They give you a lot of food. Service is excellent

Food is great! Best in the area. After COVID, they never got back to a sit down restaurant so unfortunately that hurts the atmosphere stars. I love all their food, but the pork fried rice rocks

Ordered delivery (through Uber Eats), and was very impressed with the quality! I think any complaints about flavor are from those who typically get very generic American Chinese food that has a ton of sugar, sodium, food coloring, etc. The food I ordered tastes homemade (and be sure to opt for their homemade sweet and sour and soy sauce!), and everything was delicious. I got sesame chicken, egg drop soup, crab Rangoon, and a fruit tea - fantastic all around! I’m looking forward to making this my regular Chinese restaurant!

A hole in the wall type place with some very unfriendly workers. I used to go and get Kung Pao Tofu which has a sickening amount of water chestnuts. So the next time I ordered, they were kind enough to SUB extra onions and green peppers for the water chestnuts without charging.

But now they are not kind and have a rather bullyish attitude. And now want to charge for the substitution.

Today was the last straw. They gave me a hard time and refused to make the substitution without charging!!! I’m sorry, but if ingredients are removed others should be able to be replaced without a charge. I will not be going back on principle alone!!!!

This place used to be great!
Now the food is average. Service we placed an order on line which said delivery would be at 12:52. after calling on the delivery at 1:15 was told a few minutes. it arrived at 1:39
