I had to fly to and from my home in DC to Chicago for a funeral. It was a quick flight and same day return Of course, I made the obligatory side trip for an Italian Beef at Novi's. It did not disappoint! I had mine the way I've had it since I was a little boy, Wet I poured giardinera pour all over it. Of course.I had homemade fries in a root beer but what I wouldn't I!

Very good Italian beef. I love that they had mozzarella cheese and marinara. Worth the ride. Will definitely be back.
Overall I thought the beef was solid. I got my beef dipped with a side of giardiniera. The top half of the sandwich to me was dry and lacked flavor so the giardiniera was definitely needed for flavor. The bottom half of the sandwich that was soaked with the juices was much better and full of delicious flavor. Im typically not a fan of fries but the fries were really good. Definitely some of my favorite fries out there. Honestly this would be a 5 stars if it wasn't for the dryness on the top half of the beef sandwich.
