Decided to try Sammy’s tamales, a newer addition to our neighborhood, after our old tamale spot falling way off. This place did not disappoint!!! My mom and I tried the chicken in salsa verde and salsa rojo, as well as rajas con queso (spicy), and they were so good. Perfect meat, salsa, masa ratio, not undercooked or dry, perfect flavor! Will definitely be going back to try more on the menu. Downgraded service only because we went in a weekday and they had a young teenage boy...
I tried this new place. The food came out slowly but I forgive it because it’s new. I got quesabirria tacos and a pupusa. The food was very good and I liked that I could see them pressing fresh tortillas for me. I will be back to try more menu items.
The green tamales are spicy, packed with meat and aren't expensive, the atmosphere was also very authentic. Only problem is that if you don't speak Spanish you might have some trouble ordering.
