Customer service sucked. The staff looked annoyed, and the place smelled like cigarettes. The smoothies were good, but the atmosphere makes me not want to come back.

I hate to make this review because I went there for the first time two days ago and my experience was great, but unfortunately that was not the case yesterday. The first time I went here I ordered the açaí coco haze and I specifically asked if there were peanuts because I have a severe peanut allergy and the employee proceeded to say no peanuts so I continued with my order. The first time I had it the smoothie bowl was delicious and everything was fine. Yesterday I returned because it was really delicious and I wanted to order it again. As I order I proceed to ask again if there are any peanuts because this is not the same employee as the day before, and I know there is no peanuts from my order yesterday but I always have to confirm because of my severe peanut allergy, he proceeds to say no and I continue with my order. My smoothie bowl was made first out of my complete order so I proceed to eat a few bites, maybe 4-5 bites, and all of a sudden I feel my tongue tingling and my lips are starting to swell. I stop the employee and ask are you sure there are no peanuts because I am having an allergic reaction. Two employees proceed to say there are no peanuts, but I try to explain that I am having an allergic reaction and I am allergic to peanuts so there has to be peanuts. I tried to stay calm, but I had to leave to seek medical attention, so I needed to go. The employees were kind enough to offer a new bowl, but at this point I couldn't even eat another one as I was having an active allergic reaction. They were very confused and I'm not sure if they really understood the severity of a food allergy. I accepted the their offer to make another one, but I had to leave immediately to buy Benadryl to hold me over until I went to the emergency room. My boyfriend went back to grab the new bowl which they inform him they did not include granola in the new bowl because they had a new shipment of granola that could have caused my allergic reaction. When he told me they said this to him I was frustrated because the employees should always know the ingredients of their products in situations like this where their customers have food allergies. Unfortunately, I had to go to the emergency room where they treated me for my allergic reaction and now I have to pay a pretty penny for my visit because there was some trace of peanuts in my smoothie bowl.

They were so kind to remake my order once my girl wanted it changed after she took 3 sips off it. Staff is very nice & commendable for that. You definitely should try out this smoothie king

Man FIRE!!! I usually go in to pick up Uber eats orders, always heard good feedback from friends! Tried it out for my first time last week and I almost cried!! No foreal. I’m super big on drinking my fruits instead of eating them and I was craving a smoothie real bad. Placed an order.. 5 minutes after placing my order I go to pick up my smoothie for my husband and I and we were both in awe!! We’ll definitely be spending our money with smoothie king on cermak more often! They have so many healthy/ tasty varieties.. so far our favorite is the juice blend that has a papaya based I just forgot the name ? UPDATE: it’s called LEMON TWIST STRAWBERRY!! get the 40 oz you won’t regret it ??

Ordered from the Berwyn location in the morning. Arrived at 7:30 am only to find they were not open. Another lady was outside and indicated this is the 3rd time she has ordered online and got there to find they were not opened. She said 2 other cars pulled up and said the same thing. As I'm driving away, a couple of people went to the door in the front and back. This is unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location.Update: Against my better judgment I went back last week to the Berwyn location and ordered a bowl only to find that the acai was frozen hard. What am I supposed to do with that. I didn't make a purchase to have to wait for it to thaw out. I will not be back to the Berwyn location.

Had the most delicious smoothie and I can't wait to try the other flavors! I'm glad they list the employee name on the receipt because Yazan provided exceptional customer service with a smile.
