They’ve ruined my dad’s memorial service. By saying that they would allow us to bing non-alcoholic drinks from the outside and at the lasts minute they said no non-alcoholic drinks either. And I had already bought soda and juices for the kids. Horrible and so unprofessional DO NOT BOOK THEM FOR YOUR PARTIES.

We recently rented the patio at VBAR in Berwyn for a very special and emotional event — the funeral memorial of my father. When we booked the space, we clearly discussed and confirmed in writing with the owner/representatives that alcoholic drinks would not be allowed at the time of our event. We also specifically asked if non-alcoholic beverages such as soft drinks, juice, and water would be permitted — and they assured us they would be allowed.
However, on the actual day of the memorial — after we had already arrived, set up, and were in the middle of welcoming our guests — management suddenly told us that no drinks of any kind (even non-alcoholic) were allowed. This was extremely upsetting, not only because it went against what was agreed upon and documented, but also because it added unnecessary stress to what was already a very difficult day for our family.
It is completely unprofessional and unacceptable for a venue to change the terms of an agreement at the last minute, especially during such a sensitive occasion. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I will never do business with VBAR again. The lack of professionalism and respect they showed us on that day was truly disappointing.

Five of us traveled to Chicago for New Year's Eve from Cleveland and Milwaukee. We looked up V Bar online because we were unsure of what to do. We were greeted at the door by the owner, who informed us that she was already booked. She rushed outside as we were leaving and announced that we could enter because no one had arrived. She and her husband approached us and introduced themselves as well as their establishment. They served us food and invited us to partake. Later, as the evening went on, they distributed Champagne. About every two months, we get together and still comment about how polite everyone was and what a great time we had. I appreciate you, V Bar.

The outdoor patio is nice but, that’s about it ! I was there for a graduation party a few weeks ago and the service was the absolute worst I have ever seen and not to mention the pricing . Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere or you will be sorry!

I attended a party here recently and I understand all businesses are short staff but not sure how water wasn’t given to the tables in 85 degree weather and when asked we had to pay for the water and receive it with stuff floating in it. It was a clusterfuck , no organization at all. It’s too bad, nice place and set up but horrible customer service.
