Five of us traveled to Chicago for New Year's Eve from Cleveland and Milwaukee. We looked up V Bar online because we were unsure of what to do. We were greeted at the door by the owner, who informed us that she was already booked. She rushed outside as we were leaving and announced that we could enter because no one had arrived. She and her husband approached us and introduced themselves as well as their establishment. They served us food and invited us to partake. Later, as the evening went on, they distributed Champagne. About every two months, we get together and still comment about how polite everyone was and what a great time we had. I appreciate you, V Bar.

The outdoor patio is nice but, that’s about it ! I was there for a graduation party a few weeks ago and the service was the absolute worst I have ever seen and not to mention the pricing . Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere or you will be sorry!

I attended a party here recently and I understand all businesses are short staff but not sure how water wasn’t given to the tables in 85 degree weather and when asked we had to pay for the water and receive it with stuff floating in it. It was a clusterfuck , no organization at all. It’s too bad, nice place and set up but horrible customer service.

Don’t have a party here! The service was horrible! Worst service I ever experienced. They wanted to start charging me for pitchers of water and cups for my guests. There’s a rude old lady who works there that ruined my party. They were putting tons of ice in my guest sodas and filling them half way. All she wanted and cared about was money for the bar. Never again will I go there.

The service here was horrible. Friends of ours had a party on the patio and were treated terribly. I was feeding my baby outside the gate, that was open when we got there, and was literally yelled at by a staff member to come inside the gate, yes, yelled at... they were trying to charge the host for pitchers of water for the tables... my husband ordered a Moscow Mule and the bartender made it with Root Beer instead of Ginger Beer. I would not recommend this place.

It is a nice bar. Drinks started at $23.00 for 2 mixed drinks and a draft beer at 8pm by 1130pm they went up to $27.00 for 2 mixed drinks only not including the beer. When i approached her to ask why she tried to make up an explanation which made no sense. I was not the only one buying this same combo from our group. Watch what they charge you!! There is no excuse for this.
