“This is a long overdue post from a Bishop Hill resident. Every baked good I’ve tried has been delicious. High quality ingredients make me keep going back for more. (It’s the real butter) The store is lovely with plenty of options for coffee, wine, home goods, and gifts for everyone on your list. Take the time to stop in and meet the owners, they’re amazing!”

“Hometown atmosphere in cool historic building with wooden floors. Darts, pool tables and jukebox. They have great pizza!!! And regular musical acts and karaoke make it fun! Great service. Lots of people have parties here. Definitely worth a stop! ✅🥰”

“I grew up around Galesburg, eventually moved to Arizona. My husband and I return every year to visit family. We always come to P.L. Johnson’s Dining Room for lunch! The meals are delicious and the staff is very friendly.”

“These are the best cake pops I have ever had! So delicious. Pineapple upside down, Oreo chocolate mint, vanilla peppermint, confetti, cookie dough, wedding cake and the list goes on. She even has some keto, sugar free and gluten free options that are really good. Do yourself a favor and order a dozen+ you won’t be disappointed!”

“Suggestion: Not everybody has internet connections therefore public announcements such has the boil order are not available to citizens. To help with that issue, I suggest that a few paper copies of important announcements be printed and posted in local business locations in the village. Copies posted in locations such as the two schools, the post office, Kwik Shop, Robbies and the BP would be seen by many people. The same announcements of village agendas need to be posted in those locations. Posted agendas on the village front door are seen by very few citizens since most rarely go to the village office. Without the Chronical , citizens are less knowledgeable about what is going on in the village. And I am sure, fewer ppl are taking the Republic and it has far less information on what is happening in Cambridge. Therefore it is important that efforts be made to better inform our citizens. The Village of Cambridge administration can help by posting announcements more widely distributed for ppl to read. Thank you.”

“Would 10/10 recommend CCT to anyone. We brought 5 kids in with 2 adults. Everyone was so accepting of our children playing, laughing and being kids. We didn’t have to worry about someone being mad at our kids like other places. The owner was super nice, even paid for our kids to play pinball! Food was super delicious as well! Thank you for being awesome!”

“There were only 2 workers and they were busy filling online and drive through orders so it did take a few minutes before they got to us even though we were the only people in line. They handled our order quickly after that and were friendly.”
