I don't exaggerate when I say the coffee is worse (significantly WORSE) than Folger's or Maxwell House. It's not even drinkable. When you have "kafe" in the name, you should at least offer better coffee than instant coffee. And the menu and decor show they put a lot of thought and energy into the place...So why is the coffee an after thought?

This was a hidden gem. Most people don't notice how amazing this place really is. Walked in and looked ordered quickly. i got " The Hill " which is a BLT on ciabatta with chipotle aioli. The sandwich was warm and tasty. Best BLT I have ever had. If your ever around Bishop Hill or Galva, stop here and be experienced. 5 stars.

It’s a wonderful gift shop but go here for the coffee, tea, sandwiches, ice cream, fresh baked goodies, and even beer and wine. Everything is wonderful! They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and open at 9 or 10 and close at 4 or 5.

First time going there, and seen some a lot of old collectables. I loved looking at all of the neat stuff they had. I also saw a big older time Cash Register. I will be going back.

Great cafe featuring sandwiches, homemade baked goods, ice cream and a wide variety of drinks including excellent coffee and wine. Dine inside the historic building or on the patio

We love stopping here each time we visit Bishop Hill. There is a cute shop in the front and the cafe is in the back of the building. Lots of menu options including coffee and teas, cookies, ice cream, and wraps and sandwiches. There is a beer cooler as well. Service has always been great. It’s a nice place to grab a treat and then a quick walk up to the park to enjoy it.
My husband and I ate lunch at Kran’s Kafe in March. They had a corn beef and cabbage special. It was the third day in a row that he had eaten corn beef. He said it was the best he had had and at the best price. I had the ham and turkey panini with lingonberry dipping sauce. It was delicious. We highly recommend stopping for lunch.

Absolutely love Krans Kafe. Specially Lisa. I will wait until she is working to go and get my drink/sandwich. She is phenomenal and takes pride in what she does. She always has a smile on her face. And every time I come in to get a Salted Caramel Mocha Latte I ask if she is there so she can make it because she does it best. Sandwiches are excellent. Highly recommend.

Each coffee drink and sandwich I've gotten here has been great. I go out of my way to visit this shop. The staff is super nice and I love coming here! If there's an event, parking can be hard.

Nice little hidden gem! Had a sandwich my first visit. It was yummy and tasted like quality ingredients. Second visit for the wine flight. These are really tasty! The Cosmic Bog had the most unique flavor on my flight lol. Good quiet atmosphere. I came inside cause the bees liked my wine too. You should stop by! I'll try the coffee next time

Another great hidden gem in Bishop Hill. GREAT service and the drinks were better than the “big” guys. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.
