BUB Cafe is my new favorite brunch, lunch, and dinner spot in Blue Island, so much so that I've been 3 weekends in a row! The first weekend I went, I tried the Italian Chicken Salad sandwich and it is delicious; it's a new take on a classic lunch standard with GREAT bread. Second time I stopped in, I got the bagel and lox with the carmelized onion cream cheese and I was so impressed with the little details--tasty cream cheese, pickled onions, and out of this world salmon to top it off. Last weekend, I stopped in for their corned beef dinner (to celebrate St. Patrick's Day) and it was absolutely delicious. Reminded me of my Irish granny's cooking, clearly made with great attention to everything Irish, and made with a lot of love and care. The owners and staff are wonderful, attentive, and bring so much to this new spot on Olde Western.

I went in this week for the first time, they were short staffed. One woman was handling the whole place. So it was a bit of a wait to order and for my food. However, the service was fantastic, the woman who was working really did a phenomenal job. Food was even better. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!

I found this place because my original plan was elsewhere. They were closed. This was a happy little accident finding BUB. The Beef Sammich is 12/10. It's one of those meals you hate that you're getting full because you don't want it to end.

The roast beef sandwich was phenomenal, definitely recommend. Also you can get the CBD infused drinks which is hard to find on the south side.Kid-friendliness: A small area for kids to play which is really helpful

Absolutely loved this place. The vibe is super relaxing and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and engaging. It was crowded when we went at peak lunch so you know the food is good. I even thought our food would take forever but our plates were out in like 5 minutes! We ordered 4 things off the menu and everything was fresh and delicious and so well presented! The strawberry brownie was seriously the best thing I’ve ever had in my mouth! I do not even like sweets and this was outstanding. They make everything in house. (Except bread) but the bread was delicious and fresh! Go. Just go. Its off the beat and path but independent businesses like this need and deserve support. You can tell they put their heart and soul into what they do and they enjoy their work! That’s where I prefer to spend my money.

This cafe just opened and close to the house so I had to check it out. I had to try the ginormous cinnamon rolls that everyone has been raving about, let me tell you, it was to die for. It was beyond delicious! I’m super picky on my coffee so I took a chance and ordered a latte, another winner. The atmosphere was so welcoming and laid back. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and nice. I definitely recommend to check them out if you haven’t, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu.
