Old school Spanish feel. Very intimate and romantic setting. Like mom and pop shop for a modest couple or the president and his first lady. A great first date place.

Nice little Spanish restaurant in Blue Island. Came on a Saturday during Easter weekend worried I wouldn't be able to find a spot but was the only one inside at around 12:30 (though they had a few takeout orders come in and out). The family that runs this place are super nice and threw in some complimentary things for my order (bread, cup of soup, flan). I ordered my steak medium rare, which it was, but I prefer a little bit more crust for texture differential

My wife and I ate here Saturday night. We were early 5:15, so no wait and , in fact, we were only ones there. By the time we left the place filled up. The food was delicious. We started with champignones rellenos and a seafood paella and the meat paella and finished with the flan. Portions were very generous . The service was attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend this family owned restaurant for authentic Spanish cuisine.

I booked a reservation for Valentine's Day. I was really looking forward to trying this place since I moved to Blue Island. So, many people recommended it on Facebook, so I had to see what all the hype was about. The atmosphere was really nice. They had a group playing that night. Our waitress was okay, but service could have been better. I don't blame him, though. It was really busy that night. Food was just okay. I was really disappointed since the lamb chops were really pricey. The best thing was the tomato soup, bread, and my sangria, but that was honestly the only two good things I had that night.

Amazing hidden gem for Spanish food on the Southside!!!!!! Many restaurants are loud and rambunctious now, it is very nice, quiet, and mellow here. Not the place to go if you're looking to get rowdy and party. Highly recommend to people who are sensitive to noisy places.Kid-friendliness: Not really the place to go with tiny tots who need to get out a lot of energy. It is a more quiet place.

They have new shrimp empanada that is great. It's a wonderful place to eat, it's so relaxing there after a long day. The food is great.

This was my second time dining here. We started with their complimentary garlic bread and potato soup. The soup was delicious. Then, we had the shrimp empanada, which was also delicious. Then, we tried the antipasto salad; very tasty but not enough meat or cheese - we had to order extra. The shrimp with garlic was the star of the night. It was so good, not gummy and full of fresh garlicky flavor. Go and try more items! There were only two of us. What a cool gem on the south side! I should add that the server was not great. Wasn't attentive and wasn't around much. Had to holler to get him. However, I think this is a casual family biz so should be expected. He was very sweet when he did come by.

Food was delicious and service was top tier! Their empanadas were full of flavor and bigger than expected. I will be coming back even though I live an hour away. It’s worth

My family and I had a wonderful experience! The service was very attentive and friendly. I could tell they took special care with every dish they serviced. The meatballs and sauce was cheesy and delicious. The garlic bread was toasted to perfection. I live pretty far but I’d make the drive back to enjoy a wonderful meal again! 10/10 would recommend you try the food!

We were headed home to Tinley Park from Whiting Ind. and was in search of authentic Mexican tacos. Where else but Blue Island. The reviews piqued our interest enough to pay a visit-- completely ignoring the menu. Once seated I perused the menu---tacos were out of the question. They had something better...Paella!! Oh how I longed for the dish after trying the frozen entree from Trader Joe's. All my 1st of Spanish cuisine was at LA Vieja. The flan was so good, the shrimp empanadas, and the huge serving of seafood paella were fresh and cooked perfectly. Oh and the margaritas were deceitfully strong. This is our new staple.
