Everything was perfect here. Beautiful spot for a date night. Service was excellent, the ambiance was perfect. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, the fried green tomatoes were definitely some of the best I ever had. I had the fried catfish with Cajun rice and cabbage slaw, I do feel the fish was fried really hard but the flavor was excellent. The Cajun rice was missing the mark seasoning wise. My husband had the red snapper-the fish had a strong fishy taste which is common for large pieces of fish but not something I li personally, however, the etoufee was a star and the braised collards were impeccable. I will definitely come here again and I highly recommend.
Overall experience was good! It was very costly for a party of 4 having only 2 alcoholic beverages our dinner was $270 before tip, this was with only 3 entrées. The menu will be very challenging for people with simple tastes two of the three people in our party picked what they thought was the safest item and did not like the flavorful spices! Don't get me wrong. These dishes were excellent just not for people with a plain palette
My sever was Aziel he was the best. The food was the delicious and the cocktails great . The staff was very friendly. Will be back.
This was our second time at this restaurant and the service is always excellent! The moment you walk in the door, you are pleasantly greeted by the hostesses. Our server was kind, friendly and respectful. The food is always delicious and fresh. We will be repeat customers.
I really enjoyed celebrating my mother's birthday here. I ordered the cornbread and seafood gumbo and I licked the bowl clean. My mother ordered her favorite, the fried green tomatoes, which are crispy and flavorful. We also really appreciated the efficient service.
We came here for our third wedding anniversary and had a great meal. service was very attentive and they gave us a complementary champagne toast. We can't wait to come back.
We were celebrating my daughter‘s birthday. The food and drinks we're perfect. Our waitress took such good care of her. It was my daughter‘s first time visiting the restaurant, but it wasn't my first time. She told me that she wants to go back again. Thank you for an awesome experience.
This restaurant has been added to my favorite list. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and everything was tasty!
I love this place much. One of the best hidden gems in the chicago area. Everything is delicious ( I've had the entire menu) and service is superb.
The fried chicken was terrible the burnt ends were pot roast the catfish was swai fish the macaroni was good the gumbo was decent Nice decor and friendly staff but the food and drinks were mediocre at best

This place is simply amazing! Delicious food, delicious cocktails, awesome service and ambiance. We loved everything we got! Burnt ends, grits, greens, okra - all so very good. Our server, Gina, was a delight. This place is a must!
The food was delicious, and the cocktails amazing. Our server, Emily, was as good as it gets. Very friendly and attentive, making our evening even more enjoyable.
We were a Thursday night party of 12 celebrating my birthday. I was the first to arrive and soon saw two guests arriving, one using a cane to navigate the steps. I was highly impressed by how the host staff left their station to hold the doors open for my guests. A great start I thought. We were also offered the opportunity to sit our reserved table while waiting for my other guests to arrive. I was again impressed because most restaurants will not seat until the full party has arrived. Our server Matt introduced himself while taking our drink orders and was professional and pleasant. A variety of dishes were ordered including three or four sides of the collard greens. Unfortunately and almost embarrassingly, the greens were undercooked to the point where I brought it to the attention of one of the hostesses who said she would inform the chef. I honestly thought there would be an adjustment on our check for the greens but there was not. Another guest had to change her entree because the okra in her seafood gumbo was visibly as tough as a wood stalk. Perhaps a new produce vendor is needed or the chef needs to select produce more carefully. The other guests were generally well pleased with their orders from the roasted beet salad, the buttered shrimp and grits, jambalaya and other dishes. My superbly seasoned fried chicken was simply scrumptious. Big hits were the cast iron cornbread and the bread pudding. Three beignets were provided for the group in recognition of my birthday. Once they were placed we set about cutting them up so that everyone could get a taste of their sweet and warm goodness. The evening ended on a somewhat down note because only one check was prepared initially. It took my two guests who offered to break the check down for individuals quite a while to handle that task. When another guest raised the question of why we were not given two checks from the start, Matt, our server, did respond with two checks.
It's always been a great place to eat. The service is always great. I don't care for the forced valet parking though.
Everything was wonderful. Our server, Matt, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I would definitely come back again.
