Terrible service, I ordered a dozen strawberries, apart from that they came bad
It doesn't matter the price, but the quality.
It's not what I expected
Ordered donuts and got muffins instead… would’ve been fine if the muffins weren’t extremely dry or stale but they were. :c
Edit: I’ve been feeling nauseous all day since I’ve eaten a muffin.
The cakes they make, especially the Tres Leches cakes, are delecious and I recommend them for any party you're throwing. The donuts they make are also tasty breakfast snacks. I'd also like to thank Nova Bakery for being a sponsor at the 2024 Taste of Blue Island
Nova Bakery is a place where every visit feels like a celebration of all things sweet and delicious. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the rich, intoxicating aroma of freshly baked goods. The air is filled with the sweet scent of sugar, warm bread, and everything that makes a perfect pastry, instantly putting you in the mood for something indulgent. I've been coming to Nova Bakery for years, and it has never disappointed me. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy, down-to-earth charm that makes you feel right at home. The display cases are always filled with an impressive variety of treats, showcasing everything from traditional Mexican pastries to more classic favorites. I’ve tried just about everything they offer, and each item is a delight. The traditional donuts are a perfect balance of light and fluffy, with a sweet glaze that melts in your mouth. The cakes are rich and moist, each bite bursting with flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. And the pastries—oh, the pastries! Whether you’re in the mood for something flaky, creamy, or fruity, Nova Bakery has it all. Each pastry is crafted with care, offering a perfect blend of textures and flavors that keep you coming back for more. What truly sets Nova Bakery apart is their commitment to freshness. They bake hot bread hourly, so you’re always guaranteed something warm and delicious straight from the oven. The smell of that freshly baked bread alone is enough to draw you in, and the taste is even better—soft, airy, and full of flavor. If you’re in the Blue Island area, Nova Bakery is an absolute must-visit. Whether you have a craving for Mexican pastries or just love great baked goods, this place has something for everyone. I’ll definitely keep coming back for more of their delightful creations!
I specifically told them the type of cake i wanted and they make it to their liking. I wanted flowers on the cake make out of frosting and they put plastic flowers, and even after i told them its not what i wanted the woman told me it was fine. The cake didn’t turn out the way i asked for it to be.

Pastries were good both times I went in and the lady behind the counter was nice. Just wish they sold drinks or coffee.

This bakery was provided by our wedding banquet. The service we received over the phone was very unprofessional. Seemed like we were bothering them for there service. No free samples for cakes outside of the basic flavors, and we received our wedding cake no straight. It had a lean to it. Use another bakery....

Bad service from a Mexican lady, they tell you a total price when you arrive and then they charge you another and the person who attends is very rude, they should throw her out because the customer is always right
?DRY $200 3 LECHES CAKE?♂️. The lady who makes our cakes was on vacation (delicious beautiful cakes by the way) But at the last minute I told my wife to just order it from anywhere then my wife told me she ordered the cake from this place. I should've said Anywhere But them. I already knew it would be bad because several people I know have had bad experiences at this place. Then they charge extra for decorations ??? We wanted a horseshoe theme and they charged extra because they had to buy them (It's Fine I guess) But when we received the cake it had a horseshe in every corner and the rest of the cake was plain white. It looked horrible. Then when we cut it, It was so dry. Not a 3 leches at all, Unacceptable for a $200 cake. I warn everybody to PLEASE Stay away from this "bakery" Jewel's cakes are 100x better than this ?
I have bought cakes from here before and if the strawberries on top look old they take it back and put fresh ones. Today I went to buy another and I asked the lady if she had a cake with strawberries that were fresh and she said no. I know they usually put fresh ones but she just didn't want to do it.I have bought from here before and when the strawberries look half dry in the cakes I buy they usually go back and add new, fresh strawberries. Today was a different case, because the girl didn't want to put it in and said that there were no more fresh cakes. In a rude tone.

Worse bakery ever if I could give 0 stars I would. I expected a professional bakery to know how to make a cake even with a photo for reference but if I wanted a cake to look like it was made at home I would have made it myself. Very sloppy piping, dry cake, lopsided, fondant gaps and rude customer service don’t waste your money here.
