Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Went to the drive through. The person taking the order was nice however, messed up the order. One order was supposed to be spicy and the other regular. Both orders were regular chicken. Very disappointing because by the time we realized the order wasn't correct,I was too far away to turn back for them to fix it. On top of that I had to pull over to the side and wait at least a good 10 minutes for someone to bring the order to me which I was not given napkins or utensils. I had more than juice in my cup and I was not impressed. The chicken lacked any type of flavor and honestly the fries were cold so I'm not sure what the 10 minute wait and pull over to the side was for. I am not pleased I wasted my time and money. All people ask is that they get what they order and get home and to eat and you don't have what you ordered.

This food was horrible. I'm sure from the taste it does not go by the Popeyes franchise recipe. I would not advise anyone to eat there

First time at this location and it was terrible. Chicken sandwich was Fries have been sitting out they were not fresh. I figure something would be off when we ordered, and the food was already ready by the time We got to the window, which was no time at all since there was not a line. If I could give zero for my meal, I would. Don’t waste your money here

It's about time someone reach out to corporate and seriously pursue closure, new mgmt, auditing...something. That person is me. The reviews speak volumes and the fact that NOTHING has been done over the course of time to improve food quality...the franchise owner should be embarrassed enough to give the place up at this point.

On 2/25/2025, I ordered one mild thigh and a large red beans and rice. When I got to work and went to lunch, to my disappointment the thigh was old and dry and the biscuit was hard. Somebody wrote in their review that the biscuits were hot and buttery, we all know that’s a lie. The biscuits are never buttered. I called management and he told me to bring it back for another piece. When I looked at my receipt after I was done on the phone, I noticed that the ripoff cashiers charged me for a 2pc instead of just one thigh. When I returned, I showed the manager. He immediately insist that I ate a piece. If I’m given one old dry piece of chicken, I guarantee you they would have given me two old dry pieces. Which one old piece would not have been eaten. When I told him I’d rather not have chicken in return can I get a few apple pies. He gave me two apple pies, but that didn’t equal my $6 I paid for a 2pc chicken alone. This Popeye’s needs to be closed. I will NEVER PATRONIZE this Popeye’s at 12100 S Western Ave in Blue Island, IL if I lived next door to it EVER AGAIN. I may consider contacting FDA to go there for a food inspection. This is horrible to sell food to anyone like that. Your restaurant is going to make someone seriously sick. STRAIGHTEN UP OR CLOSE DOWN!!! 😡🤬🤢🤮 MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING IF YOU CHOOSE TO EAT FROM THERE SO YOU’RE NOT GETTING OVERCHARGED AND POORLY SERVED.

Something is wrong with this location. The food is not Popeyes food. It's chicken strips, but not Popeyes chicken strips. They have fries, but not Popeyes Cajun fries. None of this is Popeyes issue stuff. Taste and appearance are so different that it literally cannot be the same product. I don't mean that they've done a bad job. I don't mean that my food wasn't how I like it. I mean that the chicken, fries, cutlery, napkins, straws, and possibly cups but unsure on that ... are all not following franchise standards, and are probably sourced elsewhere. It's like they're buying Tyson chicken tenders at the grocery store or something.

Store is also not well maintained. Counter is broken, equipment is visibly degraded. Employees are nice enough, but that doesn't fix management being cheap and scamming in imitation food.

The restaurant has a bad smell to it and it looks like they ran out of gloves in the restaurant. Thankfully I am only picking up a grub hub order or I would have gone to another location.

Absolutely the WORST franchise location. PERIOD. This place should be stripped of the ability to even operate let alone have the Popeyes name. Disgusting, rude, awful food quality. Go to Crestwood, not here.
