P.S. they also use their cold brew for the espresso martinis at Rock Island down the street and *chefs kiss* so delicious!

Small but very nice artsy coffee shop. A picnic table and some bench seating outside. A few tables and some comfy chairs inside. No shade outside, alas. They do a pretty decent house made chai latte. A few donuts and cookies. Local art on the wall. Unusually good selection of used books to read. I walked off with their copy of Emily St. John's Station Eleven which I started reading and couldn't put down. I promise to bring it back!

I’ve been coming here since December of 2024 and I couldn’t ask for a better cafe. The vintage vibes, the chill baristas and the coffee itself is a work of art. I’ll be a loyal customer as long as I’m in the Blue Island area 🤎

i always stop here for a latte on my way to the farmers market. love the decor and there’s a decent amount of seating. i get a nutty buddy latte with almond milk, always strong and smooth coffee and the subtle peanut butter flavor is the cherry on top.

As a life long Blue Islander, it was my first time stopping by with my daughter and I had high expectations.

It was Saturday around noon and there were no more than 5 other patrons seated inside. I ordered what I thought would be a quick bite: a hot coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. After receiving my coffee, one of the two baristas asked if I wanted anything else, to which I replied that I was waiting for my bagel. She replied “it’s going to be a few minutes” without apologizing or explanation. It was inconsiderate and approached in a manner not expected in service industry.

Small coffee shops standard is receiving a welcoming, friendly atmosphere— you unfortunately do not receive that here.
