Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I recently received a coupon for Dickeys and decided to try it since I was in the area of one. The website and their front door said open daily at 11 a.m. I went at noon on Saturday to the store in Bolingbrook, IL. They were closed. Very disappointing.

I have been coming here for a about a year. I livecthe food. The man that runs it or ran it was awesome. He was not here today and was told they do not accept cash?

I used the app to place my order and it was ready and waiting when I arrived, including the drinks. My order was consistent with every other Dickey's I have been to across the country. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates BBQ.

Dined 10/1/23 with my family. Ordered the chicken & brisket sandwiches. Service & food were great. Going back this weekend.

It's a serious joke. Service is poor, always out of items and they don't warn you at time of order. This has occurred multiple times. It's obviously normal along with the terrible staff when the owners aren't around. How you do business this way is beyond me. Never again.

I tried the loaded baked potato with brisket on top and spicy barbecue sauce and it was outstanding. The crew was welcoming and hospitable.

These poor guys tonight have been calling their bosses, because there ticket system is down. No one higher up was answering their calls. I felt so bad those guys were trying their best. Sad they need to close, hire new staff correctly train them and reopen to what I used to love. Which was the atmosphere and great service :/ I had to take a picture of my refund with my phone. They really tried their bests.

Great restaurant. They ran out of deliveries for 4th of July and the owner himself took our order and brought it himself. Food was fantastic too!

The boneless wings were like Tyson chicken nuggets smothered in sauce. The ribs and sauces were good but the boneless wings being no more than a chicken nugget Happy Meal will keep me away.

I tried the sausage medley. It was good a little spicy. Came with bun and sauce. I like it. I would try again. I gave a 4 because I had to wait an hour before I could order because they where not ready yet. I had to take home to try.

You can find better bbq in most peoples' backyards. Had a brisket sandwich. Doesn't taste smoked. Tastes like it was roasted in an oven and hit with liquid smoke after. Very little flavor so they obviously don't know how to put a rub on bbq. Very little smokey taste. Sour taste that I know wasn't the bbq sauce because there was maybe 2 drops on the sandwich. This is likely the liquid smoke.This was us giving it a second chance. The first time we ordered takeout here, everything was cold as soon as we picked up the order(on time), and the order was incorrect, and the food was, again, artificial tasting, and generally just bad. As I would expect from an office storefront franchised bbq joint that somehow smokes food in a mini-mall complex.If you like actual bbq, done on a smoker, don't bother with this place. Everything here is something dressed up to look like bbq, but really isn't.

We were impressed with how fresh the food was. The ribs were tender and hot. Pulled pork was moist and the baked potato with brisket was really flavorful. The service was great as well. We'll definitely be back.

Yum ?. We got in close to open and chatted with the staff a bit. They had some recommendations (I asked for) and we loved the brisket and all of our sides. Will be back for sure.
