I had a great time at Las gorditas de Don Angel today! They serve thick, small tortillas that are freshly made. You can choose from a variety of delicious toppings, such as cactus, eggs, chicharron, steak, cheese, rajas, and more. The service is great and the place is very clean and they have a nice ambiance.

Wow... I did not expect this level of flavor!
A wonderful surprise.
They have beef and pork dishes only here.
Many Gorditas were had here... beef, pork, zucchini (yeah, I know! Amazing!), long thin burritos (buy 2 😉).
Also a poblano pork burrito that was just under my spicy heat limit, which was also delicious.
We'll be back!
Cute cow themed spot, tasty small bites with a variety of fillings. Could use a bit more filling in the gorditas but they were flavorful! Friendly service and a great quick stop for lunch.

Haven’t ate my food but the service & atmosphere here are absolutely terrible wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy…only ordered about 5 things and is taking 30minutes plus with no one in line ahead of me…also the cashier lied about not knowing English when I asked him a question. Only 3 people working during a Friday evening is just unintelligent

The gorditas were pretty good I had steak with cheese. The red sauce is spicier than your average Mexican restaurant and the green sauce is okay. A little runny but good. I tried the agua de pepino and it wasn't sweet enough in my opinion. Also I must say that there was quite a wait about half an hour for 12 gorditas and I'd suggest paying in cash because it seems like they tipped themselves. My total was 48 and change on the receipt but since I paid with my card I had to sign a receipt on which the total was 50 and change. The original receipt that shows the breakdown of the charges already had taxes included but the employee told me the difference in the receipts was taxes. I don't know why they had to charge an extra $2. I don't believe there should be or was a convenience fee for using a credit card.

I'm showed this place doesn't have a higher rating.
Don Angel's is something I always crave when I'm in town visiting family! The food is delicious! The kitchen might not be as manned up as it should be but that's okay, just be patient for your food, I promise its worth it.
When you walk in there's a traditional ranch vibe to the place that is super inviting. There's plenty of seating as well.
We orderer a Taco Pirata, Chicharron Botanero en Salsa Verde Gorditas and Deshebrada en Salsa Verde. The Taco Pirata is a quesadilla with Carne Asada in a flour tortilla. The cheese is delicious and the asada is juicy making for a delicious bite. The Botanero in Salsa Verde Gorditas were delicious too with the meat being cooked perfectly in the salsa and the Deshebrada was surprisingly the best thing we had. So simple but so delicious with great flavors. The food was all so comforting.
We also ordered a Piña Agua Fresca that was so refreshing. Ibadan had other Agua Frescas here before and we wanted originally ordered the Pepino but the server politely informed us they were out. We waited roughly 20 minutes for our food but again, its absolutely worth it!
