Absolutely incredible place to eat. The aesthetics, food, desert, and service are outstanding. Literally the only negative part of the experience was how cold the restaurant was.If I'm ever in the area again I'll surely be stopping by again.

Amazing ramen and vibe! Best ramen I've had! Tried the Tanaka Spicy and it was really good with good heat(I'm latino) so be cautious. I did however order for myself the Tanaka Combo(pictured) and it was definitely the best broth and taste I've had on ramen! Give the place a try ?
Great, whimsical Japanese interior.Love the bamboo place setting.So much to take in and great convo pieces.Food was excellentHad the dumplings and the Tanaka Classic RamenSuper filling and we think healthy.Have to give low marks for the staff tho.No smiles, no personality while seating, serving or leaving. Such a shame, cuz people don't have to come back. Lots of other restaurants out there.

Great experience, and I will definitely return. The ramen was delicious. Even my picky 9yo couldn't get enough. My older ones loved the pork bun, and I enjoyed the pot stickers. The staff was very friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was slightly busy at the time.
Do not sleep on this ramen spot. It was amazing. Even grabbing some to go was delicious. The broth being packaged separately from the noodles ensured my meal stayed fresh until I was ready to eat it. If you are a Bolingbrook local it is your duty to keep this place thriving.

I was in the mood for a piping hot Ramen as it's really cold in Chicago right now. I ordered a Spicy Vegan Ramen from Tanaka and I would say I was tad bit disappointed. I usually like to add a few more things like fried onions and mushrooms to my Ramen however the restaurant didn't allow to make any customizations. The Kale noodles were very sticky and I had a hard time to separate out the noodles. Other than the limitations stated above, the taste is decent. I don't know a lot of Ramen placed that offer Kale noodles, so I appreciate that. The fried tofu and chilly oil give a good flavor as well. I don't know if I will order from this place again as Chicago has a lot of Ramen options, but if I do, I don't think it'll be Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen!

Been wanting to try Tanaka Ramen for a bit since we like to hang around the area and was a bit disappointed by the food quality. I had the Takoyaki which was nothing special. They served wings which were dry and rubbery and the milk tea with tapioca had a very artificial taste and the tapioca wasn't fully cooked yet. Don't know if it's worth another try, but for now I'll have to say pass on Tanaka Ramen
