My teen has been wanting to try egusi soup for a while. She’s had Ghanaian food before but she wanted egusi soup. After a quick Google search, I found this place and decided to give it a try despite just skimming the reviews.
From the moment we walked in, the guy at the counter was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered three entrées, and everything was fresh and delicious—the soup, the fish, and the fufu. I originally planned to get duck with my soup but ended up choosing chicken instead, and it was a great choice. My daughter absolutely loved her soup as well.
If you’re interested in trying authentic African cuisine, this is definitely the place to go. We’ll be back for sure!

I ordered from uber eats. I got the egusi and goat. The goat was disgusting to me personally. It was very gamey like I ate the animal itself. It also wasn’t tender at all and pretty tough. The egusi was delicious though with the fufu. I will order this again (in person next time probably) but with chicken based on reviews. Hope this helps!

I wish I lived closer because I would absolutely order more from The Mukase Restaurant if I did. The 40 minute drive here is totally worth the food and the service. They have friendly and welcoming staff. They also have a large picture menu to help visualize what you're ordering.I tried some of their dishes back in September 2024 with my sister and we both LOVED it. My sister had been begging me to bring her back for more so I ordered some food this past weekend for my family dinner and it was a HIT! My family consists of picky eaters and dont normally try new things and love it the first time they tried it. They all tried it and loved the food! They were asking for seconds! I wish I had pictures of our order but it was gone in minutes.

I ordered through Uber Eats and was very disappointed when the food came. The vegetables and sauce were missing. The meat is very salty as if that's the only thing used as seasoning- there was no flavor to it. The Jollof rice was good though. I would never order from them again.

Ordered off Uber eats and the fish and rice Had no sauce, dry!! I called and the owner Kwame said I can drive and come get the sauce. I waited an hour for delivery. The drive is 45 minutes. He just kept on telling me “it’s sauce.” Unfortunately, the Jollof rice and fish is dry so it needs something. How unfortunate to have this experience after reading the reviews. For the owner of a Black owned business to discount the feedback of a customs , and not offer a resolution is truly sad.

The food here is so divine! Best combo of spicy yet flavorful! Came a second time and the food was just as amazing! The egusi and fufu with chicken was the best meal I’ve had. If you are looking for a good spice the soup is the way to go with that chicken! The workers are also very inviting and friendly!! Best African food I’ve ever tasted! Definitely come if you want a flavorful authentic African meal!! -Natalie;)
